Roof Bars - what is the best option?

I just can't imagine the safari bars being that strong clamping down on the grab handle rather than screwing into the subframe.
Compare that roof rack mount with another EU mount -the bison gear mount and you immediately see how much stronger the attachment to the vehicle is.

Since the load system you are using introduces a pivot point that acts like a hinge with a long arm I seems to me that you'll put a lot of load on the bar itself and on the mount to the roof. I would venture to make that as strong as I possibly could.

The Kayaks are ~29kg each. Plus the weight of the Kari-Tek itself, maybe another 30kg. That's under 100kg
As each Grab Handle is apparently rated at 150kg. I'm less than 50% loaded (more like 30% load) - static.
I'll give it a go, hopefully plenty of leeway.
The bigger issue will be dynamic loads created by driving and side-winds IMO but should still be well inside and maximum load worries. Any dynamic load will be spread across all 4 points
You often see kayaks on small cars with cheap and tacky roof rack systems...I wonder how they stay on!!!

I think the mounting back for the grab handle location is rated at 150lg each.
I'm having a hard time believing that the plastic mount that holds the grab bars supports that kind of load.

The popular roof racks out on the market all replace the plastic mount and use that as they're platform for attaching the rack to the car. That I believe is 150kg strength. I have a hard time believing that the plastic holders for the aluminum grab handle nor the grab handle themselves are rated for that.

Your weight is low enough and you spread it it so it may work but I'd be somewhat cautious and would not drive in very bumpy roads.

Ineos states that those bars are suitable to attach lights on, I've yet to read that they are as structural as the mounts that the bars attaches to.
