Resale Specifications

Totally wrong 😬
Someone is looking for a used Grenadier. He has the decision to take one of the 100 he can buy. 60 % are grey and silver. 35 % are some kind of white.
And then there are 5 colourful beauties in blue, green and red.
Of course most of the second hand buyers will look for stylish grey and cool silver. But some think they want something special and take the coloured cars.

Ok that’s pure speculation as we all know that in near future there will not be 100 used Grenadier for sale šŸ˜€
Maybe not 100, but some do. There are speculators. On ebay, someone is already selling his contract for €2,000.

I have a dream.
Imagine, that no one of the INEOS buyers sales his car during the next five years. That means: If you are interested and try to get one for yourself - you have to order a NEW ONE!
Oh, Sir Ratcliffe would get a big smile on his face, for sure. And if then anyone of us sells his used GRENADIER (I won“t do it, I promise!) after that time - he would get A LOT OF MONEY for it! A new one would cost about 80.000 bucks, and a used one - five years old, 75.000 km driven, would bring 50-60.000 bucks - a nice idea...
So: DON“T SELL YOUR INEOS GRENADIER!!!

That’s happening with LC 200’s now. Actually they are selling for more than they were to start with.

I was told at the drive day that Donny Gray is by far the most popular colour for orders so far
Really should just call it metallic black though
Donny Gray is growing on me, but my current 200
Is gray, and they don’t fair very well in the scrub and need washing all the time, and I’m not a fan of that.

The colour has absolutely zero input to scratching or getting dirty.
It is just you see the scratches and the dirt
White, black, pink or yellow driven through the same track will all be impacted the same.

Just like our hardwood floors when a visitor said they wouldn't have wood floors because they get very dusty.
I said carpet gets just as dusty but you can't see it, so you vacuum it less often

Thanks for that insight Dave. šŸ˜‰šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

Yep dark colours are hard work I reckon. My Defender is (was) Oslo Blue and scratches up just looking it.

I’ve elected for silver this time. Good heat reflection, easier to keep clean, scratches hide easier. Plus looks really good contrasting with everything else dark grey/black.

There’s this sort.
7pm 24c beautiful breeze, pizza and pinot looking over the cbd. Noice.

Hey it’s not a beach or a snow capped mountain range, but it’ll do me tonight.

Yeah I know, off topic, but so is everyone else. šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

25C at the top today. Peanut butter sandwich and a cuppa tea. Butterflies (Macleay's swallowtail) were on tap.
No roads up here (y)

I see your sweeping vista and will check in from the NSW rainforest… Upper Allyn valley/Barrington Tops NP.
Back to the big smoke tomorrow though.

To the thread topic - I reckon that, like with the OD, resale will be impacted by associations of the vehicle with it’s use, and users.
Less about ā€œdoes this Hilux have lockers?’ and more like ā€œI want to drive the vehicle chosen by adventurers/utilitarians etcā€.

This perhaps being the ā€˜Vanguards’ most crucial contribution.
