International Import compliance requirements

You think with all the technology around they could just get the dealer or use an OBD tool to record the distance travelled for the NZ diesel taxes.
 
I’m sure Ineos could but how long they take is a concern, and then someone in NZ still needs to stamp that the vehicle is now under 3500kg GVM. Whether NZTA will do the stamp themselves or require an external certifier to do it is the million dollar question. I’ll ask tomorrow from local certifying engineer but good thought on getting a letter from Ineos. Thanks.
Or do it the old fashioned way; brush up on your knowledge of animal husbandry and the All Blacks and take a carton of Speights with you to your next appointment at the NZTA.
 
Could Ineos NZ provide you with a letter that confirms there is no capacity or physical difference between the AU supplied vehicles and the NZ ones (apart from the rating plates).
I've asked Justin Hocevar for that, sent him a request on LinkedIn... unless someone has his direct contact details?
