New Year Service Overdue Bug

So now i can claim plausible deniability of being 100% confused by service milestones...,Ineos can not deny warranty claim due to lapse in service. They told me to ignore the notification

It is interesting that there has been no direct communication from Ineos on this, only posts on various social media.
I expect some form of official notification is being drafted by the lawyers to be sent to each owner via email, or heaven forbid post to ensure arses are covered.

What are you even talking about. This is just a date bug. Don't be silly.
The car company is bleeding cash as it is, Ineos parent company is in junk bond status, and now every car has to come back in because This cannot be fixed remotely, and… they actually don’t have a fix yet.

The timing is a bit awful.

Is the problem with your dealers charging ridiculous rates to service your cars? And thus billing IA a ridiculous amount?
It must be remembeted no car has yet died from this little softwate glitch.

What difference does it make? Dealers charge their local market rate for labor

They should give IA a discount?

I hope I don’t get anything from lawyers as that would be pretty sad
Also hope they don’t waste money sending stuff by snail mail.

This can be chalked up to the software developers. This could be billed back to the developers and might not be a cost to Ineos.

It has been less than 2 days since it happened and 1st January was a public holiday.
Assuming like most of us they were nearly all on annual leave so any response is amazing.

It is a strange, slightly amusing, glitch that so far hasn’t caused me any problems at all.
Smile, laugh and move on seems to work so far

There's at least one person local to me who had the service notification reset today. Apparently the (at least temporary) fix is to reset the service reminder. Who knows if this rears it's head again. But that buys Ineos time to fix it and roll out a way for us to reset our own service intervals without specialized tools.
