Hey all,

Hopefully this is the right place to post. We just released a new SeaDek seatback padding kit yesterday, and it has been a hit right out of the gate, so I thought I’d share it here. I was tired of all the noise and scratches on the plastic backs of the rear seats from offroad gear and Home Depot runs. We’ve used SeaDek in a lot of other applications, and this one turned out to be one of the best yet.

Purchased and can report back once installed...had my boat lined in SeaDek and the stuff was amazing. SeaDek was soft on the feet and abrasion resistant, though it will get marred or scuffed in extreme circumstances if you are careless. Boat was used inshore and offshore in the Gulf and had all kinds of fish hurled across the material...held up amazingly well under really harsh conditions (salt, sun, fishing gear and all that comes with it). Best of all, I could power wash the material when I washed to boat down and it always looked like new. SeaDek will resist stains of all kind, to include blood! In the 3 plus years of ownership, I only had to replace 1 SeaDek panel on the boat due to an adhesion issue. Looking forward to this upgrade as the back of my seats are badly scuffed.

If one were to use this in the cargo floor section, how removable/replaceable would it be after heavy loads and hot/cold cycles through the seasons?

@NEKO "SeaDek will resist stains of all kind, to include blood! ".

[Note to self]: refuse future invitations to go boating on NEKO's boat. haha.

I’ve been staring at a couple scratches on my seat-backs for way too long, so when this came out I smashed the order button with @Borg54 (Owl Outdoor) ... Price was right which is s surprise with Grenadier gear.

I’ve got the Diabolical Inc. drawer system that has SeaDek on top already, I’ll have a mix of patterns, but SeaDek is pretty sweet stuff.

SeaDek durable for throwing and dragging stuff like aluminum ladders?

SeaDek durable for throwing and dragging stuff like aluminum ladders?
If a corner of the ladder is dragged across the material with force, it will mar or scratch the material. The ladder will not puncture the material but any sharp edges will/can dig in and leave a mark. I would always drag my YETI cooler across the SeaDek and never had a blemish, but again, no sharp edges. The best part is if you do beat up the SeaDek and it becomes unsightly, just remove it (clean up the left behind glue/residue) and reapply.

Hot/cold cycles through the season in the panhandle of Florida (for what that's worth) never effected the SeaDek adhesion for the three years I had the boat. On the one section that I had replaced, I was able to peel it off with some effort and put the new section on. I would recommend for the cargo section without hesitation.
