My START / STOP feature has been disabled... anyone else?

I recently had the shorter 2024 model Software Update by my dealer. (not the long 5 hour update).
It did allow me to permanently turn off the ADAS stuff, but I have noticed now that the START / STOP feature is no longer working, regardless of whether I push the START / STOP button or not.
So mine seems to be permanently "disabled." It's not really a problem as I prefer it to be OFF, but I was curious if any other North American owners are experiencing this too?

Mine didnt work at all and I never gave it any thought until it just started working after about 2500 miles.
Now it shuts off at the drop of a hat.

The 24.1 software update worked as Ineos intended regarding ADAS. As a result, I fell out of my pre-drive rituals of disabling ADAS and disabling Start/Stop. Now, sometimes when I drive around, the engine turns off and yikes, I hate that. Start/Stop still works for me after that update. I don't know if 24.1 is the long one or short one.

Thanks for the replies. Lately, I have been fiddling around with many settings and I wonder if I accidentally disabled it permanently, seems to me it has changed since my recent software update though... I definitely received the SHORT update.
The dealer told me the long update was only for the 2025 models, IF the dealer is correct.
Still it seems odd, as I recall it was working after the update, even though I prefer NOT to use the SS feature, this is more of a curiosity as to why it doesn't work now.

If you managed to disable it permanently by fiddling around with your settings, I am sure that there are many on here who'd be grateful if you could tell us all what you did when fiddling! Permanently disabling via the HMI settings would be wonderful.

I am trying to ascertain why my S/S stopped working and I don't have the answer, I was hoping someone on the forum might be experiencing the same issue after the most recent Software update.

Yeah, that's a known side effect for some people after the shorter software update. The system that controls the start/stop needs to recalibrate.

It should come back on its own after a few drive cycles. If it doesn't, the dealer might need to do a battery sensor reset. Since you prefer it off, just enjoy it while it lasts

Thank You for confirming what I suspected was going on. Very much appreciate everyone's replies.

One thing to check: Have a look at the charge level of your battery. If it's too low, the auto start-stop is automatically disabled as are the heated seats. I learned this by accident after returning from a long trip where my Grenadier sat and the battery was low. You can check by using the infotainment system: Offroad ->Electrical and view the percentage of battery charge level. Not 100% certain, but it's my theory.

I could be wrong, but I believe Eric is partially correct. If you have the A/C on full cold Auto it won't allow the start stop to work.
You may be well right and it makes sense. I always have the air cond on auto between 21 and 24 deg never on full cold.

A rare win for the owner's manual ;)
Australian market. Local markets might vary.

My phaseology I'm afraid. I refer to air-con when trying to reduce the temperature inside the vehicle with the temperature set to zero. When I have temperature 🌡 on as well with AC, I treat that as demisting, just me being quirky

Another thing to note, my start stop button is held down with a clip, I can go in and out of off-road mode and that does not reset the start stop function. So you should indeed be able to Hotwire the PCB to keep the button activated at all times. Is that wise, I'm not sure but I haven't had a need to touch mine for quite some time.
