Looks like we have choices in US for Diff Skid Plates

Over the decades I have run both Aluminum and Steel Skid plates.

From my experiences:

Steel weighs more than Aluminum
Aluminum tends to "stick" more on rocks as it is more malleable.

I "prefer" steel as it tends to "slide" more over rocks and it does not deform as much if you really land hard on it.

My 2 cents. :)
youre not getting 7075 t6 on anything sold. AO puts theirs as 5052 which is about 1/2 the tensile as a typical steel piece.

On the other hand, the Al has good rigidity for the wide expanse of the plates, and bonding a sheet of 3/16 4140 or 46100 in the wide impact area would be bombproof and give you bragging rights that your Ineos uses a custom engineered military spec layered armor system to protect critical systems and ensure combat survivability. …
