Leaking diff this morning

No I actually love the Grenadier, I think the design and concept is fantastic and the best available hence the reason I follow the progress, development and role out of the product and associated services.
It’s the atrocious build quality and after sales service that I dislike, I also find the excuses by those who love the vehicle so much they refuse to remove their rose coloured glasses a little amusing
Once Ineos get their act together and the vehicle is actually what was promised and a viable option for remote touring in Australia I will own at least 1 if not 2 before I am put in a box

OK, I get it. Correct, the aftersales is not yet up to scratch, a wise(?) man once said

“Prototypes are relatively easy and fun [to build]… but reaching volume production with a reliable product at an affordable price is excruciatingly difficult,” said Musk.

You are of course entitled to your opinion, but for example criticising 600Nm torque setting on a hub isn't helpful.

From my perspective the only issue I have had is with a EGR connector throwing a code, partially my fault because I was going away for several months and didn't get the items done. 25k Kms driven
 
Coming from the 70 and 80 series solid axle landcruiser world this looks like the fairly common appearance of a leaking outer axle seal. This allows diff oil to mix with the grease in the swivel hubs which thins out the grease and let's them leak on the lower king pin, inner part of wheel ect. Maybe I'm looking at the picture wrong and I dont have a solid understanding of the grenadier front axle but I would think it is similar in the basics.
Only difference the oil doesn't mix with the CV grease in the cavity it just leaks from the axle side of double cardan down the open housing out over the bottom king pin. Turn the wheel full lock and look into the swivel housing where the axle exits the main axle housing at the double cardan joint. The wheel bearings and king pins are greased so there would be less fluid if they leaked.

There should have been a seal in between preventing lubricant transfer. At least that how LR (tried) to do it.
 
Try turning your differential breathers. If they are hard to turn, they might be clogged. Rotating them can help free them up again. A clogged breather can cause pressure buildup, which may force hot oil out through seals or gaskets.
Use a wrench to turn them. Turn them completely off and replace with open extended breathers.
 
Something for the to-do list, extend and replace. Is there a recommended breather kit ?
