Hi all I have had this reply from Ineos however others have been told no inverter or that is a retrofit because the first vehicles won't have it.

Will be on the case tomorrow and let you know .

Hi Jon
Yes that is correct.
And yes, there is an inverter which can produce a power range of 400w-2000w.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need any further assistance.
Hope you are enjoying your weekend,
Megan

Hi @CountyV8 may I ask in which country you are? My fear some is some variance in config for different regions similar to steel or plastic bumper.
An inverter would be a very nice plus.

It's pretty easy wiring one in. I'll just cut and paste what I have already.

I have ordered the extra battery and will probably add the C-tek 250 so I can add solar charging.
I am still not keen on putting lithium batteries in my vehicle.
They are dangerous enough by themselves but with water they become extremely dangerous.
Mounted under the seat in a vehicle designed to be hosed out and wade across 800mm of water is just more risk than I need.

I will also watch these battery types from the sidelines
I don't need to run a campsite for 12 , run large drones or power hungry 12v Chainsaws.
Neither did Malcolm Douglas!

It's my understanding that the 2000W inverter was always intended to be available as an optional additional cost accessory, which just as with gull wing windows, did not appear in the configurator and price list earlier in the year. I think somebody had mentioned a revised extended accessories list being made available as from around September time, but clearly with supply chain issues and a strike at Hambach that has not happened. Maybe once a normal pattern of production and delivery is established we may see an extension of available accessories and configurable options.

Don’t throw the baby out with the bath water! You’re right most Lithium battery chemistry’s are prone to thermal runaway, LifePO4 is the exception and is as safe as any lead acid battery.

CASE REFERENCE: 74228

Hi Jon

Thank you very much for contacting INEOS Automotive.
It was great speaking to you today.

I can confirm that when you order the Auxiliary battery the inverter will come with this.
I am unsure who told you otherwise.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need any further assistance.

Thanks,

Megan

I run one on a Ural motorcycle and have had no issues. So far, I love it.
