During my conversation with Lynn Calder yesterday we discussed INEOS representatives attending events. I suggested that IA provide us with a contact who could reach out to their team to see if any IA representative could attend events organised by owners. She liked this idea and will hopefully provide me with a contact who can arrange this. I’ll post it here when I get it. If you have any ideas on this issue please post them here…

From their perspective it’s a tricky one.

It must be lovely to get involved with your customers and see your product being used and getting feedback, live, straight from the horses mouth but at the same time you are putting yourself firmly in the crosshairs for people who want to vent and might not be constructive.

Not naming names 😂 but you can imagine some people “hogging” the time of IA representative

Of course some of these people who are very outspoken behind the safety of a screen on the internet may not be quite as obnoxious in a face to face scenario….

If you love the vehicle enough to meet up with other owners for a vehicle specific day out I don't think you’re going to be that hostile..

Excellent idea. I do think that if an IA representative does attend a private event that all attendees should be aware that IA most likely doesn't sanction the event or supports any initiative that event may be promoting.

I would hope that any IA rep would be there to provide and receive feedback on issues and possible future official endeavors.

Being a niche product I do think it is important to meet owners and help build a community around the product. The best way is to meet the owners in a "neutral" setting where everyone is relaxed and looking to enjoy the event and their trucks.
