Mine is burning hot all the time from all vents regardless of settings. The Auto button doesn't work, ie the light does not come on, and sometimes the air con does not work, again the light does not come on. Bled the system a couple of times and checked coolant, but it's never gone down. No amount of fiddling around has improved this. I suspect there is a major hardware fault with the HVAC unit.

That doesn't sound like an air problem, get it in to the dealer

Had quite a few issues with it:

Multiple times when AC did not work in +30C
Multiple times when the fan did not work in -10C

I told the dealer about my issues but the other problem is that it works when I go to the dealer so they cannot do anything.
This is frustrating specially now in winter!!!

Terrible. IMO, it is inexcusable for a car built today to have such a horrible HVAC. Last summer, it blew nothing but hot air. Dealer cited faulty sealss and fixed it. This winter, it blew nothing but cold air. Dealer cited faulty seals and fixed it.

I have no doubt the same thing is going to happen next summer.

The automatic setting mystifies me. It's almost as if they have set it to respond randomly. The only constant is that it always fogs up my windshield.

What year? How many miles so far?
Did you go through the purge and refilling the coolant process many refer to?

In a $80k plus vehicle one should not have to perform a multi-step ritual, say a short prayer, and wait 15 min for conditioned air. 50% success (operability) in a new product is unacceptable.

Ratcliff /IA just needs to recall all pre 2026 HVAC units and replace them with the current units. Yes, it is costly, But so is brand image.

This is not just a minor inconvenience in a restored 25 yr old car. It is a proper big deal when one just needs to make a quick 15 min trip in extremely cold or hot weather.

I know this wouldn’t work for various reasons but would love to see everybody that had an HVAC issue take their truck to the dealer on a specific day…a protest of sorts

I did the purge process three times and that made a difference, however its back to doing the nah don't wanna work any longer.... lol I guess another trip to the dealer.

keep doing it, and driving. It takes a long time to clear all the air, a long, long time

As CRH said, it’s taken mine only 3 year to get rid of all the air and it’s works 95% perfect. No hot and cold. No foggy windows. Heats in 5 minutes from start up.

The other 5% I have not solved is it whistles in Auto when reaching to set temperature but not on manual. Fan speed 4 or front demister still has that high frequency shrill.

This would be total of 6 times now. Dealer now saying this is not normal. So I guess that is a good sign?? Maybe??

How old/miles on yours. Mine only seemed to properly start working before Christmas on around 28,000 miles. Heating was cold again if not full, checked expansion tank and it was low, again. Since then I no longer get any weird noises (gurgling?) behind the dash on start up. One dealer mechanic said that it should have a pressurised bleed done on it when he heard the noise but my dealer didn't seem to be aware of this when asked.
Now it runs ho and warm. Still won't do warm air on feet an face or screen but auto does work.
It's at UK IA HQ currently and it's being checked over whilst there for any faults in the HVAC

just over a year and 3 months, just hit 11,600miles. No noises that are weird except on level 4 it squeals. Works when it wants. Almost a full year of ownership I was one on here without HVAC problems, but after the big software update it's done nothing but act faulty when it wants too.

Potential upside though, there is hope that if software is a big reason for our issues, it can be fixed. Not saying IA or the fantastic software folks they employ can make it happen.

9K mile '24 in sunny LA. Blew hot maybe 4-5 times when I really needed it to blow ice cold. Dropped it off today in Pasadena to get it fixed. They said it's some valve that needs to be replaced or repaired. Said they no longer replace the entire HVAC unit.

Just work and I'm straight. I'm not even a demanding user given climate.
I had the exact same experience with my ‘24. Handful of times stopped blowing cold on hot summer days. Turning off vehicle for about 10 minutes seemed to clear it up. Since dealer isn’t close I waited until annual service to have it looked at. A valve was replaced under warranty and so far so good.

2024 Trialmaster 25k miles. All stock except for a roof rack. Coldest setting with Air compressor switch on, is cold...... next notch is VERY warm, anything to the "right" (clockwise) from there, and its just full heat. Basically no adjustment at all. Either you have air conditioning, or full heat. I have a 1995 F800 truck with a mechanical slide lever that works better than this. If they put the temperature sensor in the duct after the fan/damper controls, and let us set the temperature of the air coming THROUGH the system, it would be much better.

Just took my new to me ('24) Trialmaster out first time in the really cold and had ZERO heat, fan, demist. Super pissed off as at -24 degrees the one thing I need is the ability to clear the windows.
I understand there are issues with the HVAC, but I got nothing, it did quickly blow for about a second when I started it, then cut off. Nothing I did would move any air, fan speed, heat, auto, demist, nothing., It has been working fine at higher temps (for the week I've had it), but come on...
Is this something service can fix?

How many total miles on it? How long have you owned it? Any previous owners?
