I think what you ran into was the ventilated cap releasing due to over pressure of the system, this is a safety device on all engines. If I remember BMW uses an about 2bar cap regulator. Meaning if you overfill or pressure builds up it is allowed to escape already.1) Top up coolant to max and NOT more on a cold engine because doing so will created leaks through the reservoir joints. Trapped air expands more than liquid and it’s pushed out. Initially, I thought mine was leaking. I wiped off the dried off coolant, corrected the levels and it never leaked again.

I wish I can afford it like a company called Twisted buy hundreds of old Ineos, leave it in storage and 10 years later bring them back out, modify with fancy leather seats and uprated engines and sell for a fortune.
Ineos just needs to unlock it and make parts widely available. It’s all the do with contracts and business. I bet Ineos signed a contract with Bosch saying they can’t unlock it for the first five years or some kind of threshold. Otherwise how can they validate the warranty if you don’t have it serviced at dealers. It’s all business I guess. With such a low volume, if we all got our Ineos serviced at an independent or ourselves there would be no dealers left.
With the steering, I do believe they did make it like this from a legal standpoint and make the user modify and discover the fixes. If the steering drove light and accurate like a modern SUV, it would definitely fail the moose test.

mine did that and they were replaced under warranty, HVAC improved again after thatAgree it does but somehow it has leaked through the welded joints on some reservoirs.
How far is your dealer.2024MY Either front or rear vent has heat. Never both. And the unit make vibration sound daily. Dealer have difficult replicate these issue while truck in the shop..

Purging when necessary when it doesn’t work properly. Ie not blowing, not getting hot, not getting cold, blowing both hot and cold.How frequent is this purging , refilling coolant business which many speak of?

I would say more frequent on the first two years. Check levels every quarter and top up level to max if necessary. Check levels on a cold engine, with bonnet/hood fully propped up in service mode. Google BMW green H12 for the nearest supplier. Purging process is on the forum, just do a search.

Purging will not help with the latter.
