Hello everybody,

my name is Roland and I come from Southern Germany (near to Schwäbisch Hall and Heilbronn). I got my Grenadier five weeks ago and we are back from our first journey to Denmark.

Before my Grenadier I drove a Tesla Model 3. It was a great car, but our life changed and therefore I needed a change in my car too. We are cultivating a forest area and a field since one or two years... And the Tesla wasn't well-suited for this job.

This was a short introduction. If you have some questions you can ask me... Sorry for my imperfect english. I learned it at school and since that time I needed it only during our trips to Scnadinavia and a few times at work...

Greetings,
Roland

Welcome to the forum. There should be some members here from your region.
What is your Grenadiers configuration? Colour, special specifications…
A picture would be great!

@Rolando di Cello Nice set up, which roof rack do you use with the iKamper RTT?

Oh, and welcome here :)

I used a rack vom Thule, but it wasn't the best solution. The roof rack scratched down to the sheet metal although the load was maintained... I am looking now for a better solution with a platform and more brackets.

I think if you modify them, you can make it stronger.

A little bit longer and a adiitional angles, so you can use six srews on each holder.
That must be strong enough for each load.

It is only one flat piece with angels and drillholes, no other complications.
So it is easy to produce and as solution it is cheap.
I think about something like this (a little creation with freecad (not true scale):

And now add holes to mount a classic 80x40 system profile... Or a 60x30...

@Deichrutscher where can I order your mount? ;)

Sorry, i am only a IT-Admin

But i think if you ar going to a manufacture like this "https://www.edelstahlmanufaktur.info/hobby-fahrzeugteile/" they can help you.

For my Amarok they have made two C-Mount (Hilti MQ-21_RA2) fittet on an stainless steel angle profile and then powdercoatet.
So i can mount everything i want. For a handmade single model round about 600€, i think that was o.k. in 2017
