Hello from Far South Coast NSW (Aus)

Hey all, Phil here.

Based on the Far South Coast, NSW. Picked up a Quartermaster this week. Wanted one for a while but always thought it was out of my price range. Managed to secure a 25 dealer stock vehicle at a great price and jumped on it.

Completely new to the platform and keen to get it set up properly. What are the best first mods/buys you’d recommend?

Appreciate any guidance from those who’ve already gone down the path.

Welcome Bang!
Before you part with your "hard earned", drive it for a few weeks and get to know it. Learn the overhead switches by "feel" so they become automatic...
In terms of mods, the vehicle is an OCD's delight.. every "want" can become a rationalised "need"....if you know what I mean......
There's a thread on 3rd party/aftermarket suppliers for the Australian market...

PART 1
The Quartermaster's chassis is longer than the Grenadier's, so not all the Grenadier's accessories will fit (like the side steps and rock sliders). QM owners should double check accessories fitment.

AIRBAG SUSPENSION (see also SUSPENSION HERE)

1. Airbag Man suspension for the Grenadier and QM, both come in standard and 2 inch lift kits. QM kits here and Grenadier Kits here;
2. Heasmans (Sydenham Sydney) can can do Polyair airbags and Bilstein suspension;

What are you using the car for? That will determine the best accessories to recommend. Do you have external rooftop power outlets fitted?

Tools

• The Wera Tool Check Metric Plus Bit Ratchet with Sockets 39 Piece Set when it is on special. Amazon AU puts it on special a few times each year. I use this kit frequently, often more than once a week.
• Ronny Dahl tyre repair kit.

Spares

• Some spare fuses. Suggested kit here.

Storage bags

• Storage bags under the front seats to store tool kits and bits and pieces. Look here.
