Will the heating system ever be fixed properly on all vehicles. Mine is a 2023 and the heating system is eratic at best but generally doesn't do what you want when you want. Auto is useless. It has had the bleeding procedure done numerous times but it's still ineffective. Hot air at the back and cool up front on drivers side until on max heat. Turn rear vents off helps, turn side vent off helps. Or air on feat and face. Lower than max heat blows cold on feet. The random combinations are endless

Totally agree, how do we get answers

Lynne Calder said they were working on a fix that could be retro fitted.
Coming from an old type Defender my needs are relatively simple however if it wasn’t for the great heated seats the HVAC could have defeated me once or twice.

Before mine was improved it was the heated seats that kept me going

putting this here just because it’s the newest heating thread.

IMG_8011.jpegPop the lower panel off the center console and check the foot air duct. Mine had either a rag or insulation wedged between the connecting sections of duct work preventing air from reaching the footwells on the left side. (LHD)

I think someone has stuck that there to mop up the condensation drips.

I’m almost certain the condensation drips against the side of the centre console is software. I’ve taken some of the lower dashboard out, lagged it and it didn’t make much difference. I’ve lagged the pipes more than once and it comes back depending on climate. One of the pipes right behind the glove box is roasting hot.

I noticed after putting my finger up there after dripping, water is actually coming out of the lower vents ducting on the passenger side and the only time it leaks is when you get hot air blowing in the rear and cold air blowing on the windscreen in Auto. Which makes sense as hot and cold air blowing will condensate. It happens particularly if the sun has been out and the interior is hot. There is no rusting to the metal chassis at the back.

It only happens when the system is locked on or at start up. The system after adjusting the temperature, the rear will cool down eventually. God it’s slow and dumb and I always start and wait till all the dash light are off too.

Ineos need to patch up the software seriously. Surely the system should not blow hot and cold together through the same ducting and surely auto should work. It’s a p**take when amateurs like me are trying to fix and figure out basic stuff that Ineos should sort out. I hope the 25 models don’t have this issue and I bet they know the issue but don’t want to retro fit. This is the only thing letting the car down, everything else has been fixed and is a keeper if I get this only issue fixed.

Also there seems to be many leaks in this area. I’m not talking about the A/C condensation drain (this is on the passenger door side where there is a TSA to seal the base of the tube) or the leaks coming from the bulkhead through the cabin filter or door seal.

Are you the original owner? Have you had the car in for service for this issue before?
