Will the heating system ever be fixed properly on all vehicles. Mine is a 2023 and the heating system is eratic at best but generally doesn't do what you want when you want. Auto is useless. It has had the bleeding procedure done numerous times but it's still ineffective. Hot air at the back and cool up front on drivers side until on max heat. Turn rear vents off helps, turn side vent off helps. Or air on feat and face. Lower than max heat blows cold on feet. The random combinations are endless

Including persistent leaking and condensation issues directly into the footwell. This has been going two years for some, and continues to be an issue (I’ve literally lost count how many times my vehicle’s HVAC has been looked at for various reasons).

I hope so, it’s the only thing I hate about the car. Be interesting if the 2025 models are doing the same thing.

@CRH: Was always wondering if I have a lack of competence to adjust the air condition in the car properly. I am facing the exact same difficulty which leads to the problem that my wife (always freezing) refuses to come along when I wan't to take the Grenadier out.
The complete situation regarding the air condition and vents in the car is rubbish and I can't make up any consistent theory on what causes it.

Have the same issue with constant leaking condensate into the footwell, have read somewhere about lagging some of the AC pipework to stop the condensate, but cant find it again.
Anyone completed this task, and able to shed some light?

It is a dealer fix; make them do it.

Would you please list the steps you took to create "the problem" that causes your wife to stay home when you want to enjoy your Grenadier.

Have the dealer bleed your system multiple times, if you try DIY, make sure expansion tanks are topped up (check these now and top up). Try turning the front side vents off and the rear seat vents. Now have a go with it, if necessary turn the aircon off too and just use as an old fashioned heater (if only it were possible).
But go and check the expansion tanks are topped up now and see if it improves.

Yes, yes they are, or at least my 2025 is doing what you describe.

yes I have lagged the pipes and also fitted a drainage tube from the bottom left corner of the hvac plastic condensation tank (passenger side of right hand drive) and drain this into the chasis. So far so good but a several hour job.

I personally not had these issues However I have driven a 2025 vehicle and the constant upgrades by ineos are good, the biggest is the the audio telephone system with the calls is much improved, onto the steering as well is improved so generally speaking lots of batch upgrades are welcome.

I just noticed some water in the footwell from (I believe) the AC - first I’ve noticed it in over 25000 miles. My dealer wrapped/lagged the AC lines - I haven’t seen water since but I’ll be sure watching for it - the next week is going to be warm. The dealer did not charge for this, BTW - they just did it at the same time they dealt with the recall.

Last year I had to add almost a litre to the left hand tank (as you look at the engine from the front). Solved my problem. Or at least, some of them.

Have a 2025. The thing I couldn't understand was the issue (or lack of) with the steering. Mine turns perfectly & self centres. Posted that Ineos must have fixed the steering but others said nothing was released about it. But then again Ineos are not the most forthcoming.

I have an update on my heating system.
Both expansion tanks have now been changed and coolant topped up. Check around your expansion joints for any signs of water leaks, if you do, get them changed under warranty.
I drove 320miles, outside temp of 17⁰C, I had auto on all the way down set at around 24⁰C. After waiting for engine to properly warm up, 15mins, I pressed the auto button to turn the system on. As it was morning it was initially quite chilly and the fan was blowing far stronger than it ever had on auto, I would guess it would have been fantastic speed 2-3 if it was manual.
As the vehicle warmed up the fan speed dropped.
At some point I adjusted the temp slightly cooler, at first it was fine but then it started to blow cold but the sun was shining through the safari windows and warming the car quite a bit, I turned it up slightly and it settled down to a nice normal temp in the car for the rest of the journey.
I did have a chance to try the vehicle before the longer drive and it did seem to run sensibly in auto.
I have not tried manual yet, I had a new courtesy Grenadier when mine was being fixed (approx 150miles old), and the HVAC worked as mine seems to be doing at present. I did use manual settings to see if it was possible to upset the sensors and after much trying I finally did it.
So my conclusion is, HVAC will eventually work if the dealer fixes it properly. It is a bit dim and can be confused so treat like a simpleton.

The real test is. Is there any improvement that you now get the same temperature blowing from the desired vent setting in auto. Ie not warm in the face and roasting hot in the rear or hot in the face and cold windscreen demister. Trying to figure it out why.

Currently does what it says it's supposed to do, for now

Treat your Grenadier like a woman, buy it lots of gifts and fiddle gently with the heating buttons.
