Has anyone successfully removed the Centre console panel?

I’m looking to install a GME UHF radio that connects to the microphone/hand piece via a round “telephone jack“ style socket (the same size as a 12v cigarette socket) in the centre console. I don’t have heated seats and therefore have two empty spaces in the centre console at the top right and left. I have managed to find two screws holding the top of the centre console in place behind the black shiny trim along the top of the centre console (two red circles), but there are obviously still fixings at the bottom of the console that I can’t figure out how to get to. If anyone has successfully removed this console panel, could they let me know? Cheers

Hey MattG. If you go to the website of OWL OUTDOOR, under the section videos. Go to "Install videos" and choose "Accessory Rail"
It explains how to remove the black shiny thing. Greetings Luc

Hey there,
is it possible to remove the fascia of climate control unit without stripping the whole car? Or is it held with some screws from the backside?
Just want to fix some Accessoires there, no cables required...

Thx for your Support! This community helped me a lot with this car.

Greetings and merry Christmas

I did remove. You have to basically remove the center console just to simply get to the 2 hidden screws at the bottom of the panel.
I then put it all back together minus the bottom fascia ;) - this way didn't have to go through that mess again while investigating.

Considering the unscrupulousness with which you are dismantling our Grenadiers, I understand why INEOS is hesitant to make the manual workshop public...:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
Let's be clear here, the majority of us are going to take "our" Grenadiers apart. So a manual to keep from breaking things along the way would be great.

I had mine less than 3 weeks and already started taking things apart and changing things out. It's mine and I'll mod it however I please 😂

There is one in the resource section called body guide and also Dr Rock unofficial guide.

So, because I wanted to mount my TowPro elite controller knob in the empty top right-hand space of the centre console panel, (and my GME UHF microphone port in the top left), I finally managed to remove the centre console panel today (after I received some very helpful information from my local dealership). The dealership sent me several pages from their workshop manual which gave me step-by-step instructions on how to remove and reinstall it. It was quite a big job. Alas, the behind the plastic facade of the centre console, there is a large printed circuit board occupying the entire space, with no ability to insert any accessory without damaging (destroying) the PCB. Hence, I have now located the TowPro controller knob in between the two gear levers. This required a little bit of dremel-action to create a small cavity for the controller to fit into. It’s not my preferred position, but it is very easy to get to and looks fairly neat too.
Hi all, new to the forum. I have a 2024 Grenadier(Scottish White of-course, hehe) I don't have the heated seats and i wanted to install my 67 design ball mount from my jeep. My question is, do i need to take the whole center panel out to get access to the face plate? I also removed all the bolts out, but I am assuming that the silver rails arround the hazard switch are stoping the face plate from releasing. Great images @MattG and thank you all.
