Front Drive Shaft Update

Guys, if you want to know more or refute what Jay says then contact him directly. I went and saw him out of personal and group interest and have passed on what he said. I'm out, thank you.

Calm down mate, the owners who have had a lift like me for 50,000kms and then failure can speak from experience, standard shocks, pro lift, 295 tyres. Personally I think heat is the biggest factor. Teraflex boots seem more supple and I leave them unclamped just past ridge on shaft so not tight, no grease leaving the party as yet.

It’s a shit design simple… easy to replace joints if so desired, not easy for Ineos or anyone else to redesign for longevity. I hope Jrace do or DMW or someone… For me it’s now an inspection and serviceable item… I keep 2 Teraflex in spares.

I'm calm @Shoogs. I can't answer new questions that should be directed to Jay. There's enough folks on here who are happy to make $hit up to garnish the point they're trying to make. That's not how I operate. I'm not Jay's messenger and to keep responding on his behalf with what I think he might say will either be flat wrong or a misquote. So in fairness to Jay and his business I'll stop.

Understood. Thank You Clark, as always, for your insight.

I get it mate, but thats what makes a forum, everyone’s experience, opinion and knowledge albeit anonymous… and yep a few wankers…

As mentioned I really hope someone can solve this, but unless you own one and do quite a few kms in all conditions and have something fail then it’s difficult to accept others comments.

I highly value Jay and others, but now we have a very new vehicle we all hoped was awesome and mostly is with a big Achilles heel… and no real long term solution.

Even RD carries a spare DS, an expensive part to carry.

I haven’t had an issue in 22k miles.

I think I solved it.

I use it as a commuter car and take Landcruisers off road… :(

Harsh reality huh? 🤔
Yep. It was supposed to shrink the fleet and take the place of the LC60 LC100, and commuter f150. A jack of all trades, master of none.

Ineos hit the sweet spot in the same way all season tires work. It doesn’t quite to anything as well as it could have.

I keep it because first because almost no one around western pa was dumb enough to buy a car that needs to traverse to the other side of the Appalachians for service, so, I get to drive a cool car instead of the defender all kept wives around here have.( I’m glad I went with the red frame and white roof), and, as an suv, it has a real roof load capability, and good rear access with my preferred doors. … and the depreciation… that too. In for penny in for a pound.
