Fog lights; ideas on where and how to mount

Let's chat exterior illumination for a minute because I'd like to add some fog lights to my Quartermaster.

I have a pair of Baja Designs S4 lights leftover from a project that would fit the bill nicely, especially after I fit the proper lenses. So the question becomes where one might mount the lights?

I've seen a few below the bumper and I've also seen a pair mounted in the bumper wings, forward of the intercoolers. My inclination is below the bumper though I'm open to discussion.

The other matter; how to mount the lights. I recall a thread where a user here affixed some DIY brackets to mount the light below the bumper, but my Google-fu is weak and I can no longer find the thread.

I'm open to ideas. What have you done? What else have you seen?

Not everyone’s cup of tea but ended up using large magnets with a threaded insert and placing two small lights on the sides of the license plate mount.

They are rated for 80lbs ea and are every bit of that after getting them into place.

>500 miles at highway speeds and haven’t budged.

Hate to revive a dead thread, but does anyone have advice on running the wores from the front to the aux wires on a LHD vehicle?
I ran them underneath the driver side light and then up into the fender along the wheel well where it meets the fender. There’s a large wire loom that runs the length, you can ziptie to that and keep it tidy.

I put some Baja designs SAE fogs behind the grills. Had to remove the corner bumpers to get it done though. Bolted into a hole I drilled into the plastic radiator faring. I have run them in the summer in the south US, traffic and highway without any issues re engine temp. Hardest part was wiring to the stupidly short lead for EXT 1 power. Recommend aligning them before putting everything back together. Took maybe 3-4 hrs total.

Really helps with normal night driving as well. Provides a lot more light in the corners.
