Fog lights; ideas on where and how to mount

Let's chat exterior illumination for a minute because I'd like to add some fog lights to my Quartermaster.

I have a pair of Baja Designs S4 lights leftover from a project that would fit the bill nicely, especially after I fit the proper lenses. So the question becomes where one might mount the lights?

I've seen a few below the bumper and I've also seen a pair mounted in the bumper wings, forward of the intercoolers. My inclination is below the bumper though I'm open to discussion.

The other matter; how to mount the lights. I recall a thread where a user here affixed some DIY brackets to mount the light below the bumper, but my Google-fu is weak and I can no longer find the thread.

I'm open to ideas. What have you done? What else have you seen?

Not the best position for fog lights, but I need them most for illuminating the side areas in tight curves when driving on narrow mountain paths.

Location under bumper would be good for fog, but more susceptible to damage…

Agreed. My thought was to mount the fogs behind the mesh under the bumper, in front of the lower intercooler. I saw this from another poster though I can't locate the thread to save my life. This way, the lights are tucked up, out of the way, and behind the mesh.

That's a good option. I currently have a GP Factor bull bar fitted, to which I plan to mount a 10-inch Baja Designs light bar for mid-field lighting, and two S4 Pro lights that will function as long-range spots.

Not my truck, but this placement was super-easy to see behind me through the trail dust. Mounted directly to the top of the bumper.

Those ‘flat’ lights seem to nestle nicely into the valley between the raised front bumper attach fittings (I wonder exactly how they are mounted.)
