Fluid-Dynamics/Aerodynamics of Front window/mirror ice build-up

Last winter especially, but even in the summer with a lot of rain/dirt, the driver side window seems to collect a lot of scuzz and ice on the window, right where I want to look into the mirror. I think the side mirror also picks up build up. I’ve even seen it on car washes with blowers- I need to wipe my window/mirrors down.

Anyone else notice this?

Thoughts on some vortex generators or something to help disrupt this? I can 3D print stuff.

Yep, it's a common problem. The side mirror creates a turbulent wake that directs dirty air and road spray right onto that spot on your window.

Vortex generators are a good idea. A small, carefully placed one on the mirror housing or the A-pillar could help clean up the airflow and keep that area clearer. Worth a try since you can print them.

Rain-X or ceramic coating on mirror and headlights. Until a solution is found.

It is my biggest annoyance with the vehicle. Notice any other cube car has gutters or rubber strips on the A pillar (like G wagon).

My ClimAir wind deflectors seem to make a difference for me. They just break up the airflow around the front of the window.
