FBH ie Webasto etc

Has anyone already made or even realised more concrete plans for the installation of an aux heater? I know the weather doesn’t currently ask for it but I think this will be one of the first things I will do and I am still not sure about the details as to which one and where to put it. I don’t lile the BSI solution too much since it takes up so much of the already limited storage space.
I have a diesel fuelled engine heater sat waiting for installation, BUT I am reluctant to fit it because of all of the issues I am having with the car. I don’t want to have Ineos blaming something I have done for causing the problems 😡

The only positive is you can wait until November to see if things settle before installing for the winter. So perhaps 4 more months before need to make a decision.

Thanks. Sorry to hear that, but sounds reasonable.

The Grenny is going back to the dealership next week and 🤞the problems with be sorted when it comes back (long before November)

Anything known about the price and who installs it? Bosch Service I presume.

Just stumbled over this info and don’t know if that has been posted yet: webasto now offers a specific IG setup for both engines.

Edit: The kit is approved by IA.
I didn´t see it before. In my opinion this sounds like a perfekt solution as it seems to be installed within the original ventilation setup.

The Heater is there offered for just under 2kEuros. Not service calculated.
For the Diesel its "Inline" this means both engine and cabin will be heated. - This is what I was looking for.

Since i am living in Hamburg I gonna ask them next week an post it here,
By the way my car is on its way to me, the dealer statet tha all cars recently shall get a new „ Steuergerät“( eg chip) . This should solve all software Problems. For „ old cars“ software is on its way from England, expected in 1 or two weeks.

In my region there is no Lentz branch - southmost Göttingen and that is 3hrs drive. - There are a few Webasto certified service stations close. Thank you for your efforts in advance. I d'really like to know if the preparation kit is directly shipped by Webasto or its something made by Lentz. A service quote would be interesting.

And the other topic of getting a new main controller unit that replaces all gremlins is definitely good news. Thank you for letting us know.

Do any of you have any details in English please.
Thanks

This is a general thread so I expect it in English too. The picture I published here was taken from a German website the Webasto service station offering only in Germany just to get the price quote.

Hi Klarie, Thanks for the reply. I have a Webasto heater already so really i am only interested in the fitting kit.
I have already looked at possible fitting sites but nothing as yet works .
If anyone gets a kit Please put up lots of pictures(y)

Got a contract but not yet in production - but thanks to the link @Scan4 posted I can later inquire at a local Webasto service station based on the id numbers published. Perhaps I inquire at Webasto directly. - A quick search at their homepage and list of vehicles Ineos is not mentioned or the website not yet updated. A 5KW system both engine and cabin heated .. for an old f**t like me - when sitting stiff in the night on a high hide and luring for boar is a nice treat.. getting in a nice'n warm Grenadier. 2kEuros is acceptable.. only question how much is the cost of fitting it into the rig. What I am interested in like you - is what are the Ineos specific components added and at what place will it fitted.

I have also contacted local Webasto UK based re-sellers for price/availability of a fitting kit

What exactly are you looking for? All details (there is not much available) are in the posts above. Webasto developed a solution for the IG and Lentz offers teaching for the installation…

Im after the fitting kit and installation manual 👍

Preis mit Einbau ist im üblichen Rahmen.

Frage: Wer baut ein, macht das Lentz selbst? Das hieße ja leider, dass man da hinfahren muss. Haben die Einbaupartner, vielleicht künftig?

Sorry, edited:
Price with installation is within the usual range.

Question: Who installs it, does Lentz do it themself? Unfortunately, that would mean that you have to go there. Do they have installation partners, maybe in the future?
