Americas East Coast (NJ) get together?

Throwing this out there - wondering if there would be interest in a pub/restaurant gettogether in the not too distant future?

I'm in south Jersey on the coast and my friend owns a bar - but I recognize that's pretty far away from everyone else.

My wife is from Hillsborough though, and that's pretty centrally located. I'm sure she or my BIL/MIL know of a place that would make sense. Obviously, this would be before we have our trucks, so it's merely a chance to sit at the table and chat. And, if you play your cards right, the purple Fit might make an appearance!

Just an idea.

Just a bump and further explanation of ideas.

After extensive conversation with @Stu_Barnes, I’d like to use this initial get together as an informal ”first meeting of the yet to be named east coast/mid Atlantic/NE/greater NJ” division of the club.

This entity, and the 3,000+ members, is “my“ Grenadier club (not “mine” but the one to which I belong). I have seen other clubs starting to come to light, but my intention is not to begin a new or separate club, but rather just a regional sub-group of the Global Grenadiers.

Having said that, this is an open invitation for anyone willing to make the trip. I have not picked a place yet but it will be in/near Hillsboro, NJ. Unless folks want to come close to me and Long Beach Island.

I’ve actually decided to make it Saturday the 4th. I think avoiding NFL game days in a bar is a wise move. Hopefully this affords you the opportunity to attend.

Have several suggestions and will toss up when I see my wife this evening. She grew up in the area of Hillsborough/Somerville which is pretty centrally located.

If the list is small and people are willing to make the longer trip, we would go HERE!

It's my friend's place and I hope to make it a Grenadier destination (esp in the summer).

If I'm honest, I'm quite disappointed not many have commented. Is it the date? Time? Or no interest to be a part of things?

I used the member map and grabbed just some user names from NJ and a little in PA of folks who have been active since Sept 1. I am going to tag those folks - maybe they never saw this thread. If I miss someone let me know.

This is simply a meet and greet, have a drink and some food, and discuss what you/we hope to get out of being in this community. Nothing major, but @Stu_Barnes and I want to get the ball rolling in our own communities as deliveries are hopefully next month.

Totally missed this sorry. My weekends are pretty much jammed with kids’ sports schedules and church. Busy season of life i guess. Juggling so much I can’t add anything at the moment apologies.
