DPF burn

Google Italian tuneup and modern engines 🫠
I don’t need to google anything, drive any car or motorcycle that has been babied around town its whole life then drive one that has had bit of a rev and done a bit of hard work
Bikes are the most notable, a poser on sports bike for 50,000 km who never sees red line compared to a bike that gets used as it was designed every now and then.
The difference in engine performance is significant

Ah another DPF burn today... or at least the fans kept running for 7min at full speed after the engine was off. 527km after the first one.

This is so embarrassing, I almost want to sell my Grenny for this...

Seems like an easy software fix could solve this:
  • Give an indication how long the dpf burn will still last
  • Option of a snooze button
  • Just stop the fans when engine is off (like every F*#! other car)
The problem is Ineos will probably never change it, or at least not in the near term, so is anybody having any solutions for this? @Tom D will have to write another letter I suppose :)

We should start a thread: "Imagine, your grenadier is going in helicopter mode and you just arrived at"

For your information, it is a feature of diesel BMWs.

Don't worry, as the miles pile on it'll be less of an issue; not the DPF burn, but the social embarrassment 😳

Like giving a speech and imagining the audience is naked - could reverse that scenario and only drive the Gren in the rudy nudy. watch all your dpf concerns evaporate!
