My understanding is that the extra fuel is injected directly into the DPF itself not into the cylinders, so I dont know how this could happen. Unless the LR was a different design?Is that not where the problem with JLR Ingenium engine arose? The vehicle would automatically start ramping up for a DPF burn. The user might then switch off the engine and the extra fuel would seep down the bores and dilute the oil.
I like the idea of a warning before any form of process begins.
