Hi Grenadiers,
as I do not have the 2nd Battery installed in may Grenadier because so far I did not need it, I am now thinking of upgrading afterwards.
The additional electrical power I will just need it once or twice a year.

So I researched what I can do and came up with an new alternative to the native Ineos Solution...

I am thinking of buying an DJI Power 1000 in combination with the new DJI Power 1.8KW Supercharger Car / Solar Combo accessory.
So I can hook the Power 1000 up to the main battery when I need it. Have decent electrical support, reverse charging and the ability to attach a mobile solar panel while being stationary.

Seems to me like a very good solution I can install myself and just in case I need it. The added mobility and versatility of this solution is a big added Bonus in my eyes.
Plus over the DJI app I have additional wireless control options on top. Plus can use the Power 1000 in other scenarios as well.

As I am not an electrician I am curios what you guys think about my Idea?! :)

Regards from Munich Germany!

A portable power station such as this one from DJI is a flexible solution, a great option for camping or other outdoor activities.
Typically Jackary and Bluetti are the market leaders, but this one looks comparable to their offerings.
It is worth double checking what you are likely to use it for too. There is no compelling reason to go for much higher specification than required as that just adds to the weight and size of the power station.

Good combination. I love my BLUETTI and alternator charger 1.

Rarely use solar power anymore. Only for extended camping stays.

Hey @MunichMax

I have this in my IG ( Dual Battery & Power Station. ) I did install a DC-to-DC charger (CTEK 250SE) as I do have the factory aux second battery package. You shouldn't have any issues with the DJI Super Fast Car charger hooked to the starter battery (even with smart alternator warnings).

Some big benefits are that the DJI 1000 can charge your starter batter (settable voltage cutoff), you get a nice inverter that is much more capable than the stock IG inverter, and the DJI Power Solar Panel Adapter Module (MPPT) will allow you to easily add solar to keep the DJI 1000s topped up when not driving (extended base camp outings). It can removed and moved when you need more space or the DJI 1000 is needed for power elsewhere. Easily expandable with the DJI Power Expansion Battery 2000

Good thinking and a good system for your power needs!

Thank you guys for the feedback. So now its time to spend some money and make things work... :D

I am very interested in this setup. I have zero electrical expertise, and I love the simplicity and I hope safety of this out-of-the-box solution. The only complaint I've seen online regarding the Charger 1 is that the included fuse is located far from the car battery connection. But my understanding is that this hopefully wouldn't be an issue with the grenadier because it would be wired to one of the fuse boxes, not directly to the battery? Can you explain how you set yours up?

The wiring for the charger one is wired to the busbar next to the battery. 60amp littlefuse was spare on mine because I have a single battery setup. Positive to the fuse spare busbar and negative to chassis earth. I also bought the optional harness with the 60amp isolator because I wanted to turn off the charger 1 when not in use and not to drain the battery.

I have dual battery and supplement with a Ecoflow 768 - River2
I have 2 of them in my other vehicles as well. Perfect addition. The DJI 1000 will help take the place of the aux battery in your IG.

Great, that's what I had figured. That fuse is also spare on my Fieldmaster. Do you mind sharing a link / details on the 60amp isolator you installed? I thought that the Charger 1 was smart enough to not draw any power unless the engine is on, I thought I saw that in a video I watched, but sounds like that is not the case.

Also I'm curious which battery bank you purchased (if it was a Bluetti). I'm debating between the Elite 100 V2 and the Elite 200 V2. The 200 is on sale and not too much added cost, but it is quite a bit bigger in terms of space it will take up, and if I have this charger the extra capacity shouldn't really be an issue unless I'm parked somewhere for an extended period which I don't plan on.

Lastly, I'm curious where you mounted everything, did you mount things under the rear bench to keep out of sight?

Sorry for all the questions.

That looks like an awesome setup. I just picked up my Fieldmaster a few days ago and am very excited about getting it ready for adventuring. The area I know the least about is electrical. this Bluetti 1 charger solution seems like a great near- "plug and play" solution for adding a second battery for camp electronics / fridge, etc (I don't have the OEM dual battery setup or inverter). How are you keeping your ECOFLOW charged on the road?

Which roof shelf did you go with?
