Deactivate (Keyfob) panic button

I ordered and fitted one of these Amazon covers (link in post above) and although it is undoubtedly expensive I have to say I am impressed with the quality of manufacture and it fits extremely well. It makes for a very chunky keyfob but the buttons (including the key pop-out button) are sufficiently indented to mean that since fitting I haven't had a single pocket activation. Overall I'm very satisfied with this gadget.

Not knowing about this thread I made my own corrections. Trimming a 1/16th of an inch from the button post solved my issues. I got so damn pissed today while working in my shop from the alarm on my truck going off that I hurled my key fob across the shop hoping it would hit something hard enough to destroy it.

Now you have to press the button fairly hard to get it to go off but it still works.

This is an even better solution than installing an o-ring on the button post.
