Custom GP Bull Bar

Assuming the factory optional bar available in AUS is still unobtanium in the states? At least we know it ha proven to be able to take animal strikes without damage..

Bumping an older thread bc I’m looking for a bull bar. This is exactly what I’m trying to find! I too like clean lines and don’t plan on getting a winch, so don’t need the curve for that. It sounds like you did this in person..? If yes, I wonder if they could send it to me anyway since they have the design.
GP Factor has three offerings on their bull bar. Standard, double straight center bars or curved upper and lower bars. I believe they can do a curved upper and straight lower if you reach out to them. Anything custom would take them time to produce but that would be expected.

I barely felt the wallaby hit in the Grenadier, it was just a little knock. I was surprised what little impact it had. I had one wallaby strike in the Nissan Patrol which was more noticeable. The AU and US bumper and OEM Roo Bar are robust.

For the record I have been able to stop many strikes, just not these two. If you go remote in Australia, it is gong to happen at some point.

After many months of waiting for the OEM style to get a better price point, I finally gave up (last year when I got my car in August).

I waited forever to figure out what to do. Lots of picture looking and lots of internal debate. I wanted the original, but….

The Owl bar was super interesting, but looks weird. So I thought, but that is in pics. In person, that weirdness is not real. It looks much better in person than you would think. It is actually very well made and looks cool. I did not like the bumper area treatment design, which is why I didn’t buy it.

I ended up “Asking” for the GP style for Fathers Day, as I figured that would be an easy way to buy it without typical questions (Fathers Day in the US is in June).

After getting the GP boxes. I was super excited. All in, the install took less than 45 mins. Could have done it in half the time if I didn’t spend as much time trying to clean my hands of the orange locking fluid. This is on me from not paying attention or having tools ready, not an issue with the product. I messed up by not reading the instructions before hand.

I touch this aspect almost every morning when starting the car. No regrets. No after thoughts. Best decision I made.
