The configurator is not adding the cost of accessories when I checkout.
Trialmaster base price is $109k. I've added the roo bar, side runners, side rails, checker plate, MM, frt seat covers, rubber floor mats, cargo barrier, roof rails.
By my math it should be up around $125k but showing $118k. The $6.6k of accessories is missing.
Anyone else finding same? I logged out and tried again today but no change.
I'd pay but then don't want it to become a complete balls up.

Suggest using the chat function on the configurator and asking the chat about it.

Tried that and told it was correct and I could pay, but they kept insisting on-road costs are included in base price which of course they aren't. I'll have another go.

Press Accept and then deal with the change and costs direct with IA if required.

Yes seeing the same. Easter sale? 😉 😁 Contact your local dealer, they will sort the order for you over the phone.

Your order is just a 5k refundable deposit. You can sort details with you agent once ordered.
it is the contract that you have to have absolutely right before signing, not this stage.

fyi cust service may be confused that our gst is included, whereas on roads and stamp duty are not.

even after tweaks my website price is not correct, agent has told me what the real figure is, that tallies with my arithmetic perfectly.

don’t worry, and get your order in the queue before USA orders get going!

I've been on the phone with my agent. He's telling me the bulk of the stamp duty 'is' included in the $109,525 base price for a Trialmaster Station Wagon, and as you add accessories it increases $5.50 for every $100.
On roads are added as a separate line item as costs vary by state.
So, bottom line the Configurator is correct, happy days. You call all go back to waiting now. 😉😁

I think you will find Stamp Duty is a State based tax and so would not normally be included in national pricing
So
  • QLD is $5.50 per $100
  • NSW is $1,350 plus $5 per $100
  • VIC is $14.50 per $200
  • etc etc

Again, that's not my actual experience - the can just keeps getting kicked down the road - I'm at final invoice stage with no reconciliation to date of various different final costs and Ineos currently unable to address the issue directly.

We'll shoot, it looks like they've overcharged me by about $3.5k!
I've just gone into the config and rebuilt my exact car then proceeded to checkout and clicked through to the payment page for credit card and it showing me a total price of $119, 850 drive away. My original order back in Feb was $123,450. I've double checked the ticked options etc to be sure and it's the same car. I've made no changes since the original order. WTF.

Damn, you're right, back to square one. Ineos chat & the dealer told me it's included, then on another chat session was told no, only GST is included. I think they've changed the way the checkout calculates and dealers aren't aware.

Interesting, that backs up what I said in my original post. When I simply add accessory costs to the base price then add stamp duty/on roads I'm up around $124k but checkout says $118k. Go figure. 🤷‍♂️

Am wondering if the Queensland State Stamp Duty (5.5% on sale price including GST but excluding on-road costs) is fully accounted for in the configurator...

* The selected feature is a removable accessory that will be installed post-registration by your chosen retail partner

As these are installed post registration not subject to stamp duty

I agree, as an early orderer like you, its a bit messy as they develop the order/contract/invoice systems on the fly. But with a new order being placed now (i have experience with that process too) it is a little different, and the agents have access between order and production window for changes, plus to the accurate financial cost. Confusingly for aussies, the agent’s numbers start gst exclusive and add it total at the end, not inclusive, as per the listed option costs, but otherwise it works. And they have the actual state based stamp duty and on road costs.
it is far from simple, but the OP should feel at no risk to order- it is reversable.

I think you'll find the regs. are very clear on this and that the costs for all accessories appearing on the final invoice are included for Stamp Duty purposes, irrespective of when they are fitted.
If however you order the accessories and pay for them under a separate invoice post registration date, then the vehicle Stamp Duty doesn't apply to those accessories.

Bottom line is, if it says ' drive away price' $118k at checkout then that is the price I expect to pay for the vehicle. I'm putting a deposit down based on the represented final price. If they come back later and say 'ah sorry that'll be another $6k thanks', I would tell them tough titties, you sold me the car at $118k.
If 'rovingoz' above cancelled his current order and then orders again it seems he would save $3.5k.
