One of the reasons I enjoy this forum is that the rules we adopted early on included NO politics.
Might I suggest that if you truly need to talk politics, and express opinions based on whatever gauls one on whatever day, then those opinions be expressed in a closed thread, with its own modrator and that access is on an "opt in" basis.

As for political discussion about current genocide, forced displacement for decades and basic human rights all tied up in western narratives and biased propaganda promoted by government and media for generations, that discussion doesn’t belong in a jokes thread.

i think we all agree that no matter how disgusting it was for Hamas to massacre innocent Israel citizens and children and the irresponsible rise of antisemitism thru physical violence or rhetorical means seen via world news organizations is not justification for a discussion here. Perhaps we can talk about people who seem to believe every thing they see and hear though.

I would suggest if you want those discussions do either in private with your friends and family, in private messages on the forum or discuss a specific section or thread to be set up with forum owners and mods.

No kidding. We need a shit stirrer emoji for your previous post that certainly did not need to be made. Yeah, the one about genocide and western civilization but you just could not let it go I suppose. Bad form at a a minimum in my book. If you were sincere perhaps a private message would have been sent.

Furthermore, a quick search of my posts would show that, early on, I was a proponent of no political discussion anywhere in this forum. None at all and I still hate to see such postings about any politician or government at all. So, I believe your posts are misguided for being directed at me. I simply got tired of seeing crap political statement without any action being taken against them.

Please, no more politics in the Joke thread; as I was told, more than once in the army, "If you cannot take a joke, you shouldn't have joined".
Jokes about politicians are allowed; if you find that offensive, then tough; I have had too many lectures about people's amendment rights, (a phrase that is questionable outside of the USA). A right to free speech works both ways. If you write something on here, you must accept that a Brit, Australian, German, French, South African, Korean, Romanian et al may well have a different view.

Because politics is not a zero-sum game - someone always loses somewhere. George Washington pointed out, "Few man have virtue to withstand the highest bidder".

Sometimes humour is all we have left as a coping mechanism. And anyway, you are not in a position to moan, your post with the butt-hurt salve #3480 is as valid as one of the more pointed TACO memes. Again, as I was told in the army, "if you cannot take it, don't dish it out".

The "Butt-hurt" meme was in response to a political post about trump and Gaza. Not moaning, just pointing out hypocrisy about political posts with a the humorous meme. Guess you did not get it.
