Did cut it to size with a sharp knife, have washed the car 3 times & some rainy days, no more water inside the connector!

Easy fix.

Rule of The Shed.
Don't throw any piece of wire, plastic , rubber , wood or metal away unless it has been in storage for at least 7 years.

Try to open, impossible, not with force, not with chemicals to remove the corrosion, not with heat…….. Now will open a claim at the dealer.

After @Lollo050968 didn’t manage it, I used my favorite spray this morning. This evening, I sprayed again and, wearing rubber gloves, was able to open the NATO connector by hand. No water it dust inside. Before, without spray, I had no chance and could already see myself using grip pliers.

Lucky you, did not work for me. Dealer will be kind enough to attend to this - if it breaks, immediate replacement would be handy.
