Can't speak for the drain plug as not touched it but the fill plug certainly has a strong magnet. Saved me dropping it once. Presume both are the same. Are the diff drain plug’s magnetic to help trap the fine metallic material in the oil?
Are any of the diff plug parts one time use? They have an o ring
After noticing the front seal leaking I've topped up ours 5 times in the last 3 months and never changed or put a new seal in. About 400ml roughly to date, (circa 2200 miles). Are any of the diff plug parts one time use?
What is the Tool Type and Size for the Drain/Fill Plugs?I've never done changed diff fluid before so I am going to put my pride in the backseat and just ask. Are these these the drain/fill ports?
From a process standpoint, my understanding is that this is pretty simple.
1) Start with a warm axle
2) Remove fill plug
3) Remove drain plug & drain
4) Replace drain plug; torque to 31Nm
5) Fill with SAE 80w90; 2.1L for both front and back
6) Replace fill plug; toque to 31Nm
Am I missing anything?

Well you have them in the right order anyway.I've never done changed diff fluid before so I am going to put my pride in the backseat and just ask. Are these these the drain/fill ports?

Can you share the Part Number?I ordered new plugs with O-rings from the dealer, they don't sell just the O-ring.
From Rok Dr ManualThanks.
Just to summarize it and a couple more questions:
- 12mm Hex Socket for Drain/Fill Plugs
- 80W-90 Oil
- Which Oil is better or recommended? Mobile Mobilube HD Plus 80W-90 recommended oil (no SAE)? or, Lucas SAE 80W-90 HD High Performance?
- Clean the Plugs and confirm Oil level before wrapping it up
- No need for any new O-rings? Are there any crushed washers as part of the Plugs? (Cannot find any Part Number, if any)
I don’t have the p/n. I called Red Nolan and Angela mentioned they only carry the complete drain plugs so I ordered two of them and had them shipped. They are silver color vs the factory black head ones. Can you share the Part Number?
Also, is there really a need to change the O-Rings/Plug with only 5000 miles ?
I removed the Drain Plug to check the oil level and the O-Rings looked good.
