Brown Davis or Long Range Automotive?

Result. I’ve found that a company in Belgium called Desert Fox is the distributor and importer of Long Range Automotive fuel tanks in Europe. I contacted them and they have a shipment of tanks coming over from Australia and they had one Petrol tank along with associated rear muffler delete kit available. I have now ordered this tank and exhaust kit and paid a deposit. Should arrive early May 👍🏼
Excellent news. Maybe take Liberty to Bruges/Ypres etc?

Hey guys, can I ask how your Long Range Automotive tanks are going? Any issues? Transfer pumps etc. working well?
Considering one for my diesel.
Cheers

I've been running the LRA diesel tank since March and it has been faultless. I've probably only done a full fuel transfer 5-6 times in that period, but having the fuel nossle take a high flow pump is also a big plus.

It does take around 30min to transfer the full 68l, but that hasn't been an issue and the pump will auto shutoff when empty. The Distance to Empty can be a bit funny at times and take a while to update, but that is a quirk with the Ineos Trip computer and not the LRA tank.

Appreciate your response!

And I was going to ask about the noosle, good to know! Sounds like I might go ahead over the next few months and get one fitted!

I'm hoping Ineos update their trip/fuel computer software in the future.

Are you running stock suspension?

Ive had no issues regarding the tank and transfer pump. The other benefit is the increase in performance and fuel economy when the rear muffler is removed. There is no increase in noise. Very happy with the product.

I’ve only just realised the Long Range America is the USA operation for Long Range Automotive tanks from Australia ! Anyway I’m going over to Belgium to collect mine in a couple of weeks as it has now arrived from Australia. Mine is a petrol version.

I've just had my LRA tank installed, but it is reading empty when full. Anyone else have this issue? Not sure if it's a stuck float, incorrect wiring, or what... Could use the help of the brain trust to trouble shoot this. Also, I see on the LRA site they now offer an "upgraded" fuel pump as an option (wasn't available when I ordered mine). Anyone know what makes it "upgraded?" Is there an aftermarket fuel pump I could go with as a direct replacement? Thanks!

The upgraded pump I believe flows a bit more and is a bit more resilient. My installer has seen the normal LRA pump fail when it has ethanol-added fuel sit for a while so they upgraded mine to an Edelbrock pump that can be found at any local auto parts store.

As for the fuel level not reading, did your installer contact LRA about it? They are usually quite good about troubleshooting stuff

The LRA folks were out of the office so that was unfortunate. I'll give them a call to see what's up.
