FWIW. Hi-Way truck accessories (branches in most States) (hyway.com.au) sell a very similar 36" deflector from A$68 plus fitting kit. One of our Ineos4x4Club Qld members has one adorning the top of his OEM bull bar. Says it's very effective bug-wise and for small gravel. Stones... not so much. The Allens 4x4 price for the deflector seems quite expensive by comparison.

Choice is good, as I probably cannot mount one on the roo bar, so I may have to go to bonnet mount.

Hopefully I recieve some of the 20 years plus research and delevopment but in reality they have designed and tested their mounting brackets and positioning which is all given to you in the package and I like the idea of no holes plus removal between expeditions maybe...see how it looks first

REDARC Bluetooth Brake Controller. Easier for the DYIer.

4 models depending on region. I have not found the country or region for each model so far, I suspect the model letters NA may mean North America.

The REDARC Installation Guide states the grey plug is Deutsch DTP compatible (see page 4). Also note: Not suitable for Ford vehicles featuring AEB, including Ford PX3 Ranger and Everest (MY18 onwards).

When buying check region and compatibility with your car. This controller is similar to the Electrobrake. I do like the feature if the van/trailer starts swaying press a button on the REDARC App and it will fix it.

Vista RV Crossover XLE
It does not warrant its own thread, but here is my new offoad van - nearly complete! One shelf needs to go in, otherwise it is done.

Thanks to @Mikeb62 for helping me go with the Vista RV Crossover. He also owns a Vista and has towed it with a Grenadier. He gave me valuable feedback.

Vista RV went out their way to meet my needs. They turned a query into a sale. Initially it was third on the short list after the Kimberley Kamper and Patriot ST5.

Electrics controlled by a REDARC TVMS with the REDARC Rogue added on for more circuits. 645W of solar panels, 400Ah of Lithium batteries and a 3000W REDARC inverter. It has the air suspension option as well. Tyres match the Grenadier, BF Goodridge KO2's. Plus accent red go fast stickers. External kitchen with a small internal kitchen. Fridge can be used internally and externally (it is on draw). I will install the JOOCLA Shower into the van.

All driving lights have been custom installs, but last week STEDI released a wiring loom, the only one I know about in AU. You might be able to use it.

I have that loom, works great

Managed to install without removing grill - just swapped plugs around at back of aux light

Factory switch works - both aux lights and light bar
High trigger operates both

Once I have the light bar on ext 5 I’ll be able to turn that off and just run the aux lights

UNDER SEAT REDARC ALPHA BRACKET AND AUX SETUP
Item 5 added. Looks like a great option to add a Redarc Alpha and perhaps a Lithium aux battery. That just made adding your own Lithium battery using the Redarc Alpha 50 simpler. Very neat setup and really smart design for the space.

I cannot make out the battery brand but the main aux case has some blue, which Victron and other brands use. Post the battery brand if you recognise it from the battery top, as it fits under the seat.

Warning: 2 seater owners will need to cheek to see if the brackets fit, as 5 seater models have more vertical space under the seats, than the 2 seaters have under the battery box lid.

CTEK D250SE MOUNTING BRACKET
A mounting bracket allowing you to mate the CTEK D250SE to the 120S, options include:

1. Offroad-Tec Solar Expansion mounting bracket. Compatible with 2 and 5 seater Grenadiers;
2. If you buy the RedArc TowPro kit from Expedition HQ (packages 2 and 3) that kit has a mounting bracket included for the D250SE, but it only fits a 5 seater Grenadier;
3. Blacksheep have a 5 seater and 2 seater mounting bracket. Black Sheep Innovations Australia has the 5 seater version now;
4. EURO FLO Expedition Equipment mounting bracket for the two seater here (5 seater coming); and
5. REDARC ALPHA bracket. MORE4x4 - Dual Battery Bracket Kit (3 brackets) to suit Grenadier/Quartermaster here (not sure if the brackets fit a 2 seater model, so check).

I THINK I IDENTIFIED THE BATTERY BRAND
I think the Lithium battery used, in this Grenadier, is an Invicta XERO, maybe the 100Ah or the 120Ah model. It is a respected battery brand. I just need to identify the size now.

My new caravan has two 200Ah Invicta XEROs.

I will go out on a limb and say the new REDARC REDBLOCK lithium battery is made by Invicta, as they look a lot like the Invicta XERO (same design, almost identical specs and both with IEC certification). They just have a red and black case, instead of the blue and grey used by the XEROs. Or it is a bespoke variation based on the Invicta XERO, made for REDARC. If I am correct, the REDARC REDBLOCK will also fit under the Grenadier's rear seat, like the Invicta XERO.

OFF TO BULLO RIVER STATION (so thread updates will slow down for 2 weeks)
I am flying out to Darwin today. Next stop Bullo River Station, where Australian Wildlife Conservancy is hosting a Supporter’s Event, starting Wednesday.

Bullo River Station is near the headwaters of the Victoria River close to the Northern Territory and Western Australian border, sometimes called the Eastern Kimberleys. More accurately it is the Victoria Bonaparte Bio Region (named after the Victoria River and the Joseph Bonaparte Gulf, into which the Victoria River flows). The Gulf is part of the larger Timor Sea. I have not been this close to the coast in this part of Australia before, another first. I have only ever been well south around Timber Creek, Kununurra and Wyndham.

The Victoria River flows into the eastern side of the little-known Joseph Bonaparte Gulf, while the 5 Rivers up Wyndham way feed into the Cambridge Gulf on the western side of the Joseph Bonaparte Gulf.

Joseph Bonaparte was the older brother of the more famous Bonaparte.

Looking at satellite maps, there are many mud flats in this area, like Derby. Plenty of water in the wet season, plenty of mud down the river systems and mud flats everywhere! Plus, gorges, crocs and vegetation like the Kimberley.

It is nice to finally get away from all the intense rehab and treatment over the last 9 months. Upon my return I need to pick up the Vista RV Crossover hybrid van. Then more Specialists and then, I hope, to start traveling more widely again. As I am unable to return to work.
