Hi,
For our honeymoon 24 years ago me and the wife did a month long tour doing Mozambique, Zambia, Zimbabwe (sketchy at the time), Botswana South africa and namibia. It was all arranged by locals we got to know over the budding thing called the internet and it all worked out. For the long distances we took planes and the occasional bush flight (eg Botswana).
I'm thinking about doing a tour of africa next year, likely only for 2 weeks. I'm thinking a couple of days in a game reserve and a week in wine country and cape town. Maybe drive the garden route.
Would like some local advice and perspective. I've seen the big five but we're likely bringing friends who have never been in africa and I'm sure that is on their bucket list.
Anyone care to shoot me a PM with some thoughts?
Thanks!
