The differential guards from Maer in Poland have arrived. They are made of 6 mm aluminum and were painted gray. I have now painted them red (RAL 3020 - traffic red). For the price, they are absolutely recommendable.

Do the guards fit well and give some space to breath?

There's some space between the diff guards and the differentials. To prevent contact corrosion between the aluminum guards and the cast iron differential housings, I added 3 mm thick rubber washers underneath. But the devil is in the details. The more space there is, the easier it is to clean everything for example after driving through mud. But you also lose ground clearance, even if it's only a few millimeters.
