The german YouTube channel Abenteuer4X4 INEOS Grenadier showed the latest software update in a video. Seems so that we can turn the lockers back on again directly without steering wildly back and forth. Only that 2023 year model shouldn't get it. But they dont explain why the 2023 model is not getting it. Abenteuer4X4 INEOS Grenadier Change of mind: der Grenadier hat jetzt die reaktivierbaren Sperren
We all know that the factory front Rzeppa joints are the weak spot in the driveline and are subject to failure. Teraflex makes a replacement joint that can be had for about $190. It is the same joint that is used in the JL an JT. While searching for alternatives I came across a replacement Rzeppa made by Crown part number 68272524FRK. Summit Racing has them for $89. Worth keeping one on hand at that price. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/cwa-68272524frk
Do we have a poll, list or some other tally of how many CV joints have gone to that great drivetrain in the sky? I need to get on that list. And, maybe that list needs to go to NHSTA. Mid March, in preparation for the long drive to and from Moab, I had Mossy Houston put my factory springs back on and install the full Rival skid plate package. If there were any signs of CV trouble, they certainly would have seen it and said something. Last week I crawled under the truck to see where...
Thread 'Gents, check those differential fluid levels!'
Greetings fellow IG drivers: Took new delivery IG SW June 2024, with relatively little use (<1,900 miles) ahead of May 2025 Moab Gathering. Prior to Moab, alignment and general check, noticed very slight oil drops on tail of front differential. Checked / cleared OEM breather spring. Returning from 2025 Moab Gathering (first off road use of vehicle, w/ two water crossings) noticed a very slight high pitch whine (engine accessory?). Vehicle has now (5,200 miles, of which almost 3,000 miles...
The last couple of weeks I have been using my Grenadier for a 140mile daily commute to site, mainly on the motorway and have noticed a loud whine from around 35 mph. I can't decide if its from the tires or transmission. You would not have a comfortable conversation with the whining. The truck has only covered 4500 miles from when I purchased it new earlier this year. The tires are standard fit 17" BF Goodrich which I have fitted to other vehicles and not noticed this level of noise. I...
Thread 'It doesn't know it's not a Toyota ZF Supra shift install done the hard way.'
Well my Supra shifter install was going just swell until I got excited that the Grenadier knob came off the shift lever easily. Yep, you guessed it, I ripped the ribbon connector clean off the Grenadier shifter base. The good news is the Supra shifter and the Grenadier shifter are physically identical with the exception of the trim ring that goes through the center console and the Grenadier trim clips on to the Supra shifter body. I have no idea will happen when I plug this in and start it...
Hello everyone, I have a 2024 INEOS Grenadier that was lifted using the 2.5” Eibach lift kit. I recently had the Heavy Duty Front Driveshaft by Agile Offroad installed as well — both upgrades were done by the dealer. Since the install, I’ve noticed a loud grinding noise whenever I’m driving at around 55 mph or higher, particularly when I let off the accelerator. The noise disappears once the speed drops below about 53 mph. Everything feels solid otherwise, but this sound is concerning...
Thread 'Leaking diff this morning'
Woke up this morning to find oil on the ground. Looks like a seals gone ?
Please ignore as I now have access to the appropriate manuals. Are there any technical guides or workshop manual references specifically regarding the correct method of adjusting the transfer case cables available in the known universe please?

Front driveshaft broken at 40.000 km Ineos UK refuse warranty but Ineos AU came to the party Thanks guys
Had my MY23 in for a service and it's come back with wheel bearing noise. Personally I'm really cautious with wheel bearings, as I was in quite a scary accident when one disintegrated in my old Landy. Had the O/S one gone, I would have easily gone into oncoming traffic at 70mph. When I was told that it needed replacing, I wasn't expecting to be booked in for a late January repair. The service centre have said that it's a warranty fix and I should only get it done via Ineos, as the process...
Vehicle stuck in neutral, then it stuck in park. Would not engage the transmission. Error messages came on stating gear box error. Had to rock the vehicle back and further multiple times (like 10 times). Eventually, the gear box shifted into park and made a pretty loud noise when engaged. The vehicle then was able to go into drive and has functioned fine for the past 10 miles. Bizarre. Need to understand what happened. All warning lights have gone off.
I had a front drive shaft replaced earlier this year under warranty. If that claim had been denied, what is the cost of the front drive shaft assembly from the dealer/Ineos? Ideally, I would have rebuilt my original as a spare but Ineos wanted it back.
I have a question, my grenadier has 13k miles when he changes gears down I feel jerking. The dealer service tells me it's normal. Do you also have such a problem
Thread 'Transfer case stuck in 4L'
Stuck solid. No amount of wiggling, moving car forward/backwards, any attempts to unwind any tension in drivetrain failed. The lever will not move a mm. My feeling is the pin in the collar that pulls up to allow you to shift has broken.
Starting a transmission fluid change discussion here as several of us have been discussing which pan kit part numbers are appropriate (and potentially an OEM upgrade from the plastic, if available) @scottg @Krabby and I have had a recent back and forth on discovering the specifics of self-servicing the Grenadier's version of the ZF 8HP. Will port that discussion over in subsequent posts.
When the gearbox 3 down to 2 gear ,It's made a voices!!DENG......DONG... 16KM/h 3 TO 2,made 2 voices!!!!
Hi everyone, I’m looking to see if any other Grenadier owners have experienced something similar, as I haven’t been able to find a matching case on the forum so far. Vehicle details: INEOS Grenadier 2024 Mileage: ~30,000 km Mild suspension lift: approx. +1.7” front / +1.2” rear No drivetrain modifications, no off-road abuse Issue description: I’m experiencing a single “tuk / clunk” noise from the drivetrain under the following conditions: After braking to a stop, then shifting from D...
Apologies if this has already been posted somewhere else (searched and didn’t see it). Just wanted to share a bit of a good news story. This grenadiers front prop shaft CV boot suffered the tear failure that we are all a bit concerned about. According to him, Ineos not only covered it under warranty, they provided absolutely excellent customer service. And yes, his Grenadier is lifted with aftermarket parts. It seems Ineos is now fully aware and acknowledges this is an issue that should be...
