The door locks on my Grenadier activate (meaning lock, unlock, relock, etc) when the vehicle is moving at between 11 and 13 mph. For example, if I am driving slowly through a parking lot (at between 11 and 13 mph) the door locks will cycle through lock unlock repeatedly until the speed increase or decreases beyond 11-13 mph. Anyone else experiencing this? How to fix it? The shop is stumped.
Thread 'Infotainment Freeze -> HVAC Heating Failure -> Off-road Button Error'
Hello, A few days ago my infotainment system froze while driving and the speakers emitted a terribly loud bass and treble constant tone, vibrating the speakers. I shut the ignition off but the sound continued for about 10 minutes before ending. I restarted the car and everything seemed back to normal and the infotainment system unfrozen. That night is when I first noticed the heating system was newly weak and highly unreliable, which issue has continued since. I had another infotainment...
Let me start with, the video is hour long. But if you are interested in watching a masterful wiring setup from start to finish, then this video is for you. It's not a Grenadier but a guy who claims he is not a sparky, wire up his canopy. It is fun to watch the thought process and the skill set put to work. Where are the OEM rear fog lights fitted? Can’t seem to find a good picture or video showing them. Also, and it sounds silly in a car with so many optional switches, but has anyone thought about retrofitting the OEM rear fog lights to a car that was not equipped with them originally? Including replacing the LH stalk with one with the built in button? Maybe I’m just button/switch obsessed but I thought I’d ask…
Is there an outlet behind the trim anywhere in the boot area? I want to wire up a fan for my dogs that I can turn on and off from the overhead panel.
When I drive alone, the orange passenger airbag indicator above the rear view mirror shows as off. When I have a passenger in the front seat, both the off and on indicators are illuminated. Anyone know what's going on ? thanks!
I’m a complete electrical idiot. I’m looking to run some gear with the above specs 600W max draw, average 250W. Looking to run for 4 hours, maybe 8? I assume I’d need to run the engine, at least intermittently, or are there batteries that would be able to do this? It’s for a computer type application with a PC PSU if that matters. Want to put it in the back, plugged into a US household plug outlet.
Hello , This warning came on yesterday when the misses was driving the car , she turned it off and it cleared but it's back again this morning . I'm assuming I will just need to phone the road side assistance
Good morning all, Random one. Car went in for a service at Grange - Solihull on Monday. There they re-gassed the Air-Con as I could hear a sloshing noise and was told it was due to the air-conditioning being low. It has worked until this morning when jumping in the car, usual start up procedure but screen went black and following a press and hold of the Mute Button, screen came back but no red light to indicate the air-conditioning is back up and running. I've tried turning it off for 5...
Hi guys, been a while since I posted on here. I am after some advice around using a power adaptor that uses the OBD2 port for a dashcam, is anyone using the system and have they had any problems or is it pretty much plain sailing. Have read they can throw up some fault codes but a lot of that seems to be old posts around the internet. I believe the cable is fused and there is also a lower power sensor so it won’t just flatten the battery while parked. It might be relevant to say I am...
I recently had the shorter 2024 model Software Update by my dealer. (not the long 5 hour update). It did allow me to permanently turn off the ADAS stuff, but I have noticed now that the START / STOP feature is no longer working, regardless of whether I push the START / STOP button or not. So mine seems to be permanently "disabled." It's not really a problem as I prefer it to be OFF, but I was curious if any other North American owners are experiencing this too?
I have been trying to get both my Google and/or Apple Maps to be more audible while driving using CarPlay. I have adjusted every CarPlay and Ineos Audio Setting and experimented with all of them ad nauseam but to no avail. I UNDERSTAND that the instructions voice can ONLY be adjusted when the Map voice is speaking, but when up full, on volume 14, it's still far too quiet to hear wheel driving. Once up to highway speed with road and wind noise, windows CLOSED, it really can't be heard too...
Hi Everyone - New Fieldmaster. Over the past couple days the CCI knob has developed a high pitched squeak when turning the knob. Any suggestions? Was silent when I bought it a week ago. Thanks!
Thread 'Speedo switched sides overlaying on main screen'
Today a weird thing happened. My speedo side of the infotainment switched sides and became American / European rather than British / NZ/ Australian. I.e it hopped from the driver side over to the passenger side. The bit of screen where it normal is went blank. And the menu /Apple CarPlay side of things stayed on the usual side but with the speedo etc over the top of it. Never seen it before. I switched off and left it for a minute - still there. So I left it for 5 minutes and it sorted...
On the roof outlets it would be convenient for me to have two separate circuits on the passenger side as well. One switch for the front outlet and another for the rear one, just like on the driver’s side. It would also be helpful to know where the wires come together. Does anyone have a tip on that?
Got in my granted deer today and turned it on. The display came up and said something about CarPlay and new widgets and showed a clock. I swiped it away and eventually I got what looks like my normal CarPlay set up, but I can’t get ways to work? It looks like phone messages and other apps work like music. But every time I try to use Waze it crashes the system. I had my grant deer updated weeks ago, and I haven’t updated my phone lately, that I know of. This happened to anyone else.
Returning to Somerset from a trip to Surrey on Sunday, I switched on the aircon and recirculated air button, only to find I was being “cooled down” with ambient temperature air. I called my supplier (Compass Automotive of Bridgewater) first thing Monday morning, and they kindly said “Bring it in first thing Tuesday and we’ll see what the problem is “. After a full “industry standard” vacuum test, plus other routine diagnoses, the system was deemed leak free, and in perfect working...
Thread 'HVAC Blower Motor external control'
Anyone managed to manually control the blower motor like the Webasto unit does? Any info on wiring? This is from their official pictures:
Hi folks, in the overhead panel is one blind spot. Do you think that it is possible to place a CB radio there? Best. Patrick
