Thread 'Question about rear view camera on Ineos Grenadier'
Hi everyone, about the rear view camera (reversing camera) I have a question. My Grenadier, model year 2023, displays the following image when reverse gear is engaged: the camera image overlay is significantly smaller than the monitor would allow. A clear border can be seen at the top and bottom. The camera image is very small. Please see attached image. When searching on YouTube, you will find a different image for some newer models of the Grenadier. Here you can see that the rear view...
My solar charger has three battery options. Gel, AGM and lithium. Which of these profiles is the best choice for the EFM battery the car comes with?
Are there DRL at the rear of the the Grenadier? We always drive with lights on Auto and were driving in pissing rain but it was not dark enough for the lights to switch to on. Friends driving behind us could not see us. But disconcerting when you think your visibly to other motorists but you’re not.
Hi all, I am only new to the Grenadier life and forums but when I got my Grenadier last month the dealership gave me the electrical system schematics for the car. I haven't seen them posted anywhere before so I'm uploading them here for all the explorers to have. Enjoy PS Tried to upload the original pdf but site says it is too large so I have placed it in zip file.
I've been trawling the forum, looking for the wiring locations for the Aux wiring. Can't find what I am looking for. I need to rewire the signal to the rear relay for the 500A circuit, I need this co come on with the ignition. I'd prefer to splice into the loom under the seats to save removing my drawer system to access the relay directly. But I need some better information. Sadly I can't find anything in the workshop manual. I have seen an image that shows the wiring locations but can't...
Nice looking custom labels for the overhead switches. https://www.classicgent.co.uk/products/rectangular-black-toggle-switch-tag-labels-3m-backed Hopefully they are good, the size is about right at 34mm long.. I'll report back with pictures once they arrive..
Firstly apologies if this has been already addressed, is there any resolution to the battery drain issue. I have a 6 month old Grenny that drops at least 10% per day - left it on the driveway for four days when I was away with work and could not start it when I got back, even from a jump start pack from the INEOS roadside assist. The key we’re not kept anywhere near the car. Tow truck back to the dealer and they recharged the battery over a few days. The dealer said they could not find the...
Thread 'Reverse camera full screen and adding front cam, sideview cam'
As mentioned in another post of mine, we're currently working on a solution that will allow the rearview camera to be displayed in full screen. Below is an image of what that will look like. We already have the necessary development vehicle, and we're hard at work. In this thread, we'll take you on the development journey and let you participate. The core features we are planning: Full-screen rear view camera Optional front camera Optional side camera Optional fourth camera Optional HDMI...
Thread 'Third Brake Light Replacement'
Third brake light has some condensation in it. Looking at replacing it, as it is slowly losing function. Will stay on for a couple of seconds while braking and then shut off with a loud zapping noise. Anyone know how to go about pulling the original off? I pulled the plastic cover from the interior rear door and there aren't any screws from the inside. Is this just adhesive mount? Any help is appreciated.
Thread 'Aux Lights in Grill - A few Questions'
I know there are several threads about the Aux lights in the grill. Mostly about how to trigger them without offroad mode. My question is different. I want to know 1.) what type of plug is on the back of light and 2.) are they LED lights? I'm thinking about putting amber film on them and using an LED dimmer to make them more of an additional marker light.
Thread 'Main (primary) battery'
Can someone advise me on where I can get a replacement for the main (primary) battery? The dealers in the USA are slow to respond
Thread 'first time installing roof lights wiring question(s)'
I bought some Morimoto lights and them came with a pigtail harness (just 2 wires and a plug - a similar setup to below) I am planning to crimp on the Deutsch DTP-Series 2 Way Male Plug Kit by Agile Offroad and plug them into the roof power mounts. My “I am new to this” questions: 1: that is all the kit I need, right? I don’t need breakers or relays or anything else? When looking at front mounted lights they seem to call for more bits and bobs. 2: should I wrap the wires in that heat...
I borrowed my brother’s box trailer last weekend, drove it home the 300km and then parked it up for the week. I have a Narva Euro pin to 7 pin flat adapter and left the trailer hooked up to the grenny with the trailer plug still connected all week. I got in the grenny this morning and straight up got a low battery red warning- 50%. My vehicle very rarely gets below 88-90%. I have stock twin batteries. Anyway drove it up to the new apartment- 30km and by the time I got there I was on 100%...
I have a small 100Ah WattCycle LiPO4 battery that I'm using for my camping trailer and overnight usage for CPAP, device charging, and light on the trailer. I'm currently charging using a Victron IP22 30amp charger when it is at home. A DC to DC charger is probably on the list for this winter, but until then, has anyone tried charging such a battery using the factory inverter and line power? I have a profile taking charging down to 15 amps which measured to about 120V at 320 watts. I'm...
I think we covered this, but I don’t remember the answer. Jeep Wrangler have 115 V/150 W outlet. Last generation four runners had a 400 W outlet. It seems the only way to get a household outlet on the Grenadier is to order the alternate battery pack? With the Jeep and forerunner you have to have the engine on, which I totally understand. What would it take to have an outlet on the Grenadier? The cheapest way to do that? Just seems with all that wiring and electrical stuff not having at least...
Looking at multiple posts but havent been able to figure it out……. I am completely useless…. I had the baja lights installed in the grill instead of the factory lights. They were plugged in to EXT1 I had the car taken for service and the new software update and last night the baja lights died…….they dont switch anymore. The orange light from the EXT is on when the switch is on but i cant figure out why the lights are not working. Everything seems correct and plugged under the hood...
Sorry for this question, but I keep getting a server error when I try to search. To keep the Lensun solar install simple for now, is there any reason I can't hook it up to the jump terminal under the hood it's going to be installed upon? I just want to make there there isn't something I'm not seeing.
Software glitches which I've experienced so far are particularly annoying. The most frequent one for me is when cluster doesn't light up on key turn and after that it's completely blank, no turn signals sound, but all systems it supposed to show appear to be working anyway. I've found its fuse (FC02, 7.5A, cluster, glove box, steering wheel) in the little panel under the steering wheel and will install a manual fuse tap switch there to give me a quick way to reset its power and hopefully...
I’ve poked around a bit and haven’t really been able to come to a conclusion. The G I’m purchasing does not have the factory tow package. Dealer is quoting $1600 for parts and said they would do the computer stuff after I install it. Question is, regardless of price, would you prefer the factory equipment added after the fact or install an aftermarket option such as the off-road gear guys kit? I’ve heard of some of the gremlins with the factory unit and wonder if an aftermarket would...
