Windshield Lip

Has anyone noticed the missing "lip" around the windshield? Without it, debris like salt and dirt collects at the base of the driver's and passenger's side windows, obstructing the view of the side mirrors and making it hard to see behind you. Most vehicles have a gutter or rubber strip beside the windshield to prevent this issue. Has anyone found a solution? I have attached a photo G wagon windshield I took for reference

I think the OP is asking about some possible trim piece to direct water down the A pillar before wind can force it to flow around on to the side window. I suppose some windshield trim might help but that wasn't the original point.

You are correct, I am wondering if anyone else has noticed water and debris pooling on the window. I appreciate the tips on the windshield cracks though, those are useful!
