What did you do with your Grenadier today?

Installed the Fox ATS Steering Damper. Easy install, less than an hour. Had to use the vise to compress the tie rod end per the Agile Offroad video, but pretty simple stuff. Took 'er out for a test drive and voila! the steering is much improved at 12 clicks, I think a few more might be even better.

I’m in central Germany and today I stopped at a supermarket for provisions. When I came out the Grenadier would not start. Engine turns over but does not fire. No active faults bar the overdue service and e call error and battery at 93%. A bit frustrated I walked away and got a coffee. Come back 10 minutes later and it started first time and strangely I no longer have an Ecall error with yellow warning triangle. I’ve had this Ecall error for many weeks and no active errors now apart from overdue service warning. I can’t understand this vehicle.

I went karting this afternoon. My Ineos has the Toughdog damper adjusted similar to stock, fairly heavy compared to any modern car as many have stated.
But after karting I almost ran the "boat" off the road on the drive home. Several times.
God knows how loose some of you have set your steering.
Moral: get your wife to drive you home after karting!

But after karting I almost ran the "boat" off the road on the drive home. Several times.
God knows how loose some of you have set your steering.
Moral: get your wife to drive you home after karting!

Oil Change, as my 5000 mile obsession.

Replaced the rear brakes as my brake indicator started going on intermittently, then immediately.
Very easy and thanks to Justin aka @Bodhi’s Grenadier for the helpful video.

While down there I added the @Metalcloak bumpstops and rear muffler brace, which obviously would’ve helped with my mangled rear skid courtesy of Panamint run with John from Agile Offroad. Replaced the mangled Rival with a new one, painted in my obsession with safety orange. Yes, I know there are other options available, but it did its job already, and they were helpful in a replacement purchase.

Just clicked over 45,000 miles and spent part of Saturday and today driving around a pay and play site with colleagues from Leicestershire & Rutland 4x4 Response, https://lr4x4response.org.uk/. (A training session - "honest, Guv!")

The outcome of this is the truck is properly muddy and I will need to find out how to get my rear diff lock to engage reliably. Yesterday the rear locker worked fine. Today, after trying to engage the rear locker about a dozen times, the dash showed "rear locker error" and the idiot light console showed a flashing ! and a red rear locker icon. After parking up, switching off and locking the truck for 5 minutes, the error cleared, so I presume it is not serious. A further conclusion is that the Bridgestone tyres are pretty poor for UK mud - the BFGs are much better.

Are you still on your original set of Bridgestone tyres, and if so, what tread is left? Maybe new ones would have been better?

I think they are the OE tyres as they are half warn, with an unused spare. Most of my colleagues were on off road biased ATs or MTs, with the comp machines on specialised tyres.

I had the same 3 years ago at the border of Luxemburg and Germany, first trip abroad (to Hungary one of my kids lives there). Picknick, and didn't fire. Lost 15 minutes and then I pushed all fuses, and the car started. I don't know if this was the solution or not, but worth a try next time.

I had the same problem. Called the Austrian Automobile Club roadside service, and he started the car right away. made me look a bit silly. He said it was probably a software glitch in one of the BMW engine control units, a known issue. Doesn’t happen often and fixes itself. no big deal.

Bought, but the brackets were printed. Worked well for the last three days!

Those replace the stock hinges on the back seat? When I installed my compressor I had to fight those a bit. These a lot easier?

Yes, you don't need to rip the factory brackets out and jam them in every time you take the seat bottom out.

I almost ran my wife's LR4 off the road on a tight offramp this morning - very twitchy steering!
Then drove my Grenadier to work without any issues.

Took some die cut Vinyl decals I bought on Etsy and dealcded up the hood and tire carrier also had Victory tach on a Fox Streeting stabilzer. I am pleased with all!!

1. WolfBox with an Owl WolfBox mount - really nice and clean result;
2. an underseat ARB dual compressor;
3. Stedi side lights; and
4. Caprivi Seat Covers - thought those came out really nice.
