What did you do with your Grenadier today?

Thanks for offering! I got the wire harness so I think I'm good.
I was just a bit too tired to finish the wiring in the afternoon today. Going to finish it next weekend and also move the off-road lights I upgraded in the grille so both the ditch lights and the off-road lights are controlled by the same switch.

I run Baja 80 xl in the grill off one of the aux switches.
Going to keep them on the switch but trigger them with a relay that is activated by the headlight full beam.

I haven't fully finished the wiring but it's going to go up front and around the cooler..I ran my compressor wire that way and I'll just go along that run with these wires. All end up on the driver's side where I'll put it relay to control the lights.

Are you gonna run it to one of the ceiling switches?

I think I'll feed the power to the relays contactors from an overhead switch and then I'll use the headlight full beam to the relays control input to engage the relay. That way the auxillary lights only come on when the ceiling switch is active and the driver put on the high beam.

I didn't feel the need nor want for the factory fender checkerplate.
But as an occasional place to put a cup, tool, greasy snags or whatever there, I've cut up vinyl BBQ mat from Bunnings.
The bonnet clamps it in place.
It can be stored anywhere.

John’s install tips and video give all the hints for doing this, but as a 1 person job, maybe I’m being too optimistic on my garage floor…

Update:
Used the spring compressor tool that the Ineos portal suggested. Portal states nothing needs to be removed and compressor method can simply take spring out for replacement. Decided I got lucky with removing, but the upgraded Eibach may be more difficult to compress enough for my limited space on floor, and will slet pros do the springs, especially since I’m doing it solo. Shocks, though, are super simple. Fronts will get started tonight.

Did my first preventative maintenance baby mods today. Just the bike inner tube around the shifter pin and the rubber ring around the NATO plug to keep water out. I put some marine grade grease on the threads as well. Both worked like a charm, thanks to you guys who put this out on the forums.

Great pic! At that height, one breathes 1/3 less oxygene - did you notice lower motor performance or is it levelled out by electronics?

There must be a drop in performance. But through the year the Grenadier climbs anything we point it at, up to 13,000 ft. So no drop in power we notice. My lungs are a different story walking up the hill to decide the best lines.

I installed this panel a few days ago, but just getting around to updating today. It's a custom version of Overland Outfitters, LLP's Narrow Rear Door Storage Single Pocket. The single pocket wasn't quite deep enough for my intended use - a JetBoil stove - so they were kind enough to allow me to have it modified to be 4.25" (108mm) deep.

This is perfect for me as my morning routine when camping is a breakfast of a cup of coffee and some oatmeal with fresh fruit and honey. With both doors open and the GP Factor fold-down table on one side and this storage panel on the other, everything is at my finger tips without having to dig through boxes or bags in the cargo area; heaven.

As you can see from the photos, it is also deep enough for a pair of 1-lb propane tanks, or a pair of 1-Liter Nalgene bottles, or mix-and-match to your heart's content. There is also space above the pocket for a small MOLLE bag - haven't decided if I'll add a bag or just leave it as a handy place for flatware.

I chose to leave the OEM plastic panel in place rather than remove it, so I had to pick up some slightly longer T30 dog-point screws to replace the factory screws. If you pull that plastic panel out when installing this one, the factory screws will work fine (I just hate having to keep track of old parts from trucks - Lord knows where some of my OEM parts are from my old Defender!). Install is as simple as unscrewing the bolts, lining up the panel, and re-installing the bolts - sub 5-minute job.

This is a great bit of kit - very well made. Also available in black if khaki isn't your style. I don't think this depth is available on the website, but reach out to them and I suspect they'll accommodate you if you'd like one.

Depends on the drawer. First check to see how much clearance you have from the closed door to the front of your drawer. Then pull out your drawer and measure how much clearance the drawer has to the open small door. Some drawers open very close to the small door and those won't have enough clearance, others have several inches of clearance to the small door and those can work.

They have 3 options for the small door (not including Nadir's custom larger pocket):

If you have very little clearance to your drawer, perhaps the MOLLE version would work, then you could choose thinner MOLLE pouches or other gear to hang on it.

I really like that idea for the small door, also looks very nice too rather than the scabby cheap amazon pouches I have hanging on my large door table

They're made from military grade heavy canvas with real leather accents and reinforcements. Definitely a class above the cheap stuff on the market.
