I was up there in July and my Grenny was dwarfed buy the Man that parked next to me…

That truck has a National Heavy Vehicle number plate from Australia. She is a long way from home. Made by ATW.

Today was the day I got a tow bar fitted to my 'new to me' Grenadier, marvously fulfilled by Tom Graham and the good folks at Lloyd AllRoad in Carlisle, on time and within budget. They also sourced and fitted for me a cargo barrier, so today has been a very good day.

I was lent a Grenadier while my Grenadier was worked on, so I went to the Lakeland Motor Museum, https://www.lakelandmotormuseum.co.uk/, and stared hard at the Campbell/Wales vehicles and replicas.

Driving a 2024 model Grenadier was interesting; the hands free phone worked well even on the M6 and I hated the ADAS implementation. Tutting at me when I want an indicated 70mph on the satnav is just an annoyance, not a nudge to keeping to the speed limits! It is surprising what you miss; the loaner did not have a side runner, so I nearly fell out of the cab and the centre mirror is a poor WolfBox substitute!

I highly recommend Lloyd AllRoad and Tom Graham; on time, to budget, no issues and I can easily imagine going back even though they are 220 miles and about 4 hours away.
(There is a Premier Inn not far away, although my sister and brother in law did B&B duties this time).

Tom will be fitting mine next month. Well worth the travel time, thankfully I can do it in a day as it's around 250miles and 4.5 hours round trip rather than each way

just ordered the Ineos Grenadier Folding Tailgate Table with Extended Storage Cubby from GP Factor, great folks, fast communication cant wait to install it.

Added the Redarc pro elite trailer brake controller. Waited for a 7 pin to 7 pin LED bypass adapter from Amazon then hooked up the trailer to test functionality..... thankfully after reading all the forums everything appears to be working fine. Will take for a test camp out next weekend for a longer run to be sure. I may have to adjust the hitch slightly but it measured well.

The Vault Box looks really nice… does it come in grey finish to match the interior? Also, are the hinge attachment screws supposed to be exposed like that? Quickly looking online I found an image of what I’m assuming is the same vault on eBay but it shows the hinge screws on the inside of the box which is how I would expect it to be configured to keep the box more secure?

Two different activities today/tomorrow. Today, I helped with the road traffic management for the Battle of Britain parade in Melton Mowbray with Leicestershire & Rutland 4x4 Response.

Then this afternoon I prepared the Morgan to be taken to Allon White for a new hood to be made, (a bit like a bespoke suit, it has to be made to measure). The actual trip will be early tomorrow morning.

Now I have a towbar, I intend to use it!

Spent Saturday with a fellow owner, a Bronco Sasquatch and a Rivian running trails in Anthracite Outdoor Adventure Area (AOAA) in the hills of central PA. Fell in love with my Grenadier all over again. Do need to get more ground clearance and skid plates for peace of mind. The Bronco and surprisingly the Rivian have incredible ground clearance.

BMW 0W-20 or 30, anything else would be just wrong.
If you are looking to use for cooking instead of DIY car mechanics you can just use cooking oil to grease up your wood, uhmm. It does do the job on our chopping board so I can't see it being any different.

Food grade paraffin oil is often used. I have used it safely for years on my cutting board.

I did a food safe stain and protective wax paste on mine. I’ve also used Howard butcher block oil and their conditioner products on our kitchen cutting boards and really liked it.

Olive oil is best in my opinion. Nothing fancy.
