What did you do with your Grenadier today?

I took my Grenadier far north into the Maine woods yesterday to hike out to see the ghost engines of the Allagash wilderness. Hundreds of miles of dirt roads all in private (paper company) hands with permission to explore for a nominal registration fee. It's doesn't get much better than this...

Today was the day I got a tow bar fitted to my 'new to me' Grenadier, marvously fulfilled by Tom Graham and the good folks at Lloyd AllRoad in Carlisle, on time and within budget. They also sourced and fitted for me a cargo barrier, so today has been a very good day.

I was lent a Grenadier while my Grenadier was worked on, so I went to the Lakeland Motor Museum, https://www.lakelandmotormuseum.co.uk/, and stared hard at the Campbell/Wales vehicles and replicas.

Driving a 2024 model Grenadier was interesting; the hands free phone worked well even on the M6 and I hated the ADAS implementation. Tutting at me when I want an indicated 70mph on the satnav is just an annoyance, not a nudge to keeping to the speed limits! It is surprising what you miss; the loaner did not have a side runner, so I nearly fell out of the cab and the centre mirror is a poor WolfBox substitute!

I highly recommend Lloyd AllRoad and Tom Graham; on time, to budget, no issues and I can easily imagine going back even though they are 220 miles and about 4 hours away.
(There is a Premier Inn not far away, although my sister and brother in law did B&B duties this time).

When you say yesterday you were at Lloyd AllRoad, in which case you might have seen mine parked up. Donny Grey Fieldmaster 73 plate. Dropped it off 8.30am on Wednesday for Tom to have a look for a front driver's side leak that has just manifested after 21 months of being dry. I concur with your comments about this dealership, and Tom's enthusiasm for the Grenadier, fortunately for me I'm just 35 miles up the road. I'm very thankful when I hear the stories that others on the forum have in trying to get to a dealer.

Tom will be fitting mine next month. Well worth the travel time, thankfully I can do it in a day as it's around 250miles and 4.5 hours round trip rather than each way

Added the Redarc pro elite trailer brake controller. Waited for a 7 pin to 7 pin LED bypass adapter from Amazon then hooked up the trailer to test functionality..... thankfully after reading all the forums everything appears to be working fine. Will take for a test camp out next weekend for a longer run to be sure. I may have to adjust the hitch slightly but it measured well.
