What did you do with your Grenadier today?

No big deal from my perspective. I have never felt precious about vehicles - only the occupants. Only time I got mildly irritated was when my son was teaching his then girlfriend to drive and she she hit an oak tree. It was the only thing that you could have hit in a 20 acre field which made the mind boggle.....
Maybe she had a thing for 'wood'🫣
No offence meant

Chaperone duty today for my daughter (9) my son and a couple of his mates (12). Its almost the end of Summer hols and I decided to get them away from their devices for the day to "touch the grass" (I'm learning the latest lingo!), was a lot of fun.

Of course, this meant responsible green-laning (litter pickers and refuse sacks) to some of our local byways. Chasing the hundreds of baby pheasants up the lanes and sending the kids ahead for beater duty to up and away the particularly stupid ones (stupid pheasants, not kids). Lots of deer around too!

Fresh air, beautiful countryside, questionable picnic (Im no Nigella), lots of running around and plenty of laughs.... its 10pm and they're actually sleeping at a sleep over!

I wonder if they'll remember days like today, or the (sadly) many more hours sat playing video games?

*edited to add* - I seem to have picked a photo where they're all looking particularly miserable though 😂

Perfect, get.tje kids out the house and in to the wild

I just installed the metalcloak @Metalcloak rear skid reinforcement bar.
Really, really solid piece of gear. I'm happy I have it on.

A bit tricky to get the first screw all the way in after installing the hangers due to lack of space for my big hands but I got it in the end.

Pro tip, loose all screws that hold the skid plate a fair amount. Gets you more space to get the hangers done right. After that a bit of coaxing the two forward looking screws onto the hangers but everything else was easy.

I really like this reinforcement, its really solid and it you're missing a line this is that you'll hit hard.

Looks a solid bit of kit. I wonder if it will fit with the LRA auxiliary fuel tank fitted. 🤔

Can't tell, but I'm sure agile and owl will make similar pieces that are compatible.

I can't install the lra as my car is registered in California and all fuel parts including tanks must be California Air Resources Board approved in order to install.

Note how solidly they mounted the cross member from the brackets attached to the frame. Real solid piece of design.

I also installed the forum shop rear door grip with bottle opener.
Really good piece of kit, looks factory.

So goings grenadier is a new shop. https://www.goingsgrenadier.com/
They just posted on FB so I bought something from them to show support.
I'm pretty happy with my puddle lights from goings grenadier. Looks sharp.
This was taken in the early evening, should look sharper at night.

It's a cute little Grenadier logo. Not super cheap like the Toyota eBay specials but looks pretty good to me.

And while I'm photo bombing.. a proper pic of the forum shop grab handle.

I also ordered something special from Europe. Hopefully it gets here before Octoberfest and the gathering in Moab...

Finally... Finally...
I for the first time opened up my nato plug. There was a substantial amount of desert dust in it. Nevada desert dust if I'm specific about it.

Cleaned it out, got one of the camlock rubber gaskets from Amazon and applied the tef-gel anti galling compound to the threads. Comes on and off much better and I think this will stop the desert dust from entering.

Great mod and I think it's one of those things everyone should do.
I used this gasket https://a.co/d/6fGOYjj
5 pack is the minimum but they are inexpensive.
https://a.co/d/b0DZWFS isn't cheap but this will last forever.
