I would expect those clamps to twist under brush load. Can you swap them side-to-side, and set the arm/eye inline with the cable? Then everything is nice and tight.
crazy how much better the IG is than the G-wagonTook the family out in the Grenadier to Myrtle Beach this past weekend. Family had a blast. I got many compliments on the Grennie along the way, it’s also a G Wagon and Jeep magnet, once I'm back to it they're parked right next to it. Had fun driving it and no issues to report on this somewhat long trip! Maybe it's just because they wanted to use 4 identical plastic inserts?...
But what I noticed, without having been aware of it previously, the location of the roof 12V power points is different on the right side of the car compared to the left side. The left two connectors are located in the front part of the grab handles, while the right hand connectors are located in the back part of the grab handles. Asymmetrical position, but not a bad idea!
I like your thinkingInstalled the Buzz protection system for the door panels so they don't get hit again in a car park.
Look lovely in mud tint tooInstalled the Buzz protection system for the door panels so they don't get hit again in a car park.

Also handy as hell for accessing the roof!

wow, one of the more impressive feats ever on this forum - 'lent my gren to my 22 year old daughter'. I cannot even imagine doing that.Lent my Grenadier to youngest daughter (22) today to go to a Festival for 4 days. Ten times more clobber for a long weekend than my son took when he went off for a year.
I wouldn't lend my Grenadier to anyone, wife only drives it under supervisionwow, one of the more impressive feats ever on this forum - 'lent my gren to my 22 year old daughter'. I cannot even imagine doing that.
father of the year award.
No big deal from my perspective. I have never felt precious about vehicles - only the occupants. Only time I got mildly irritated was when my son was teaching his then girlfriend to drive and she she hit an oak tree. It was the only thing that you could have hit in a 20 acre field which made the mind boggle.....wow, one of the more impressive feats ever on this forum - 'lent my gren to my 22 year old daughter'.
