A real kick yourself moment.

The entrance to my home garage has a couple of lovebites where I've started to drive in with something still on the roof rack then caught myself just before the real damage occured.
But it's still not Duck Bridge in Wynnum (Brisbane, Qld). At 1.9m (6'3") it'll make your safari roof leak if you ignore the warning barrier.

Seen many a boatie get caught out by that bridge plus trucks and buses by the Pine St bridge up the road.

Jean My man do not get angry . Get even . I did an oil change last week at the side of the road ( i was perfectly safe before people start commenting) . If you need to do one is very easy to do . you can buy the oil and filter form the dealership . You will need a 17mm socket and a 32 mm socket and a tub to collect the oil . You can discard the oil at any recycling center .

But how do you reset the computer and maintenance warning? I am not afraid to do it myself if needed, but the hassle with the old oil ...

I think when you take it to your local dealer to reset the service warning and tell them the date you changed the oil ask them to take your old oil. That or stick it thru a chainsaw you are not too fond of.

I tow an Airstream so I needed the nose slightly lower versus the 2.5” level. I think it will work perfectly. The mechanic said it was the easiest to do wheel alignment as tires were not 12” plus wide. This should be an option from factory; similar to Sasquatch on Bronco and Recon on Jeep. BFG is suppose to offer 35x11.5 in the next few months which would be awesome 35” on stock steelies.

I also got the new software update. No more turning off speed warning, setting saves!!!!

I'm highly jealous of your garage! Great setup, For the moment I'm in a 7' garage so not too much room for activities haha.

You can always do that when back home . This is just for you to protect the engine and give it some fresh oil . I usually put the old oil in 5l water bottles or the 10l adblue containers .

Got a few things done. Had the Xpel windshield/windscreen film fitted yesterday. Fitted the 3m beading today. Bit of heat on the bend helps. If film is fitted you need to trim away a strip around the bend so it can adhere to the glass directly, or it will lift the film. Table from a fellow IG owner looks goods, heavy bit of kit. Badges for a it of colour.

Good to know. I’ve driven under that in a hire car many times when going to Wynnum on occasion for work. Never in my grenadier though thank goodness. Wouldn’t even have though to look till you mentioned it.

Welp, our day of off-roading got off to a weird start when I ran into one of these birds doing 80mph on the interstate on the way. Straight into the windshield. Our windshields sustain bird impacts just as well as rocks, so ordering windshield #4 tomorrow.

I also got stuck (bottomed out on the frame) if our Florida muck/quicksand hiding under a foot of water and couldn’t get pulled out by a wrangler, gladiator, or new Land Cruiser, so we had to anchor the wrangler with the winch to a tree and still could straight pull me out but a double-pull finally worked.

I was #2 in line, the Wrangler (2 door TJ on 35s) was in the lead, and took the bypass like he had been doing most of the day. After 30 min getting me out, everyone else took the bypass. I was in a group of mostly 31-33 inch tires, with a couple jeeps on 35s. I would have loved to see the new Land Rover or 2014 Range Rover sport that were with us try. But I bet after seeing my line vs what I should have taken 2 feet to the left (hidden by the water) they probably would have made it. My wife wouldn’t let me try again after getting winched out

I was driving home from Maine about 150ish miles from home and got the Low oil yellow alert. Drove about another 80ish miles and turned to red saying to stop driving. Luckily I had just gotten off the highway to avoid the traffic. Drove about another 8 ish miles and stopped at an auto parts store. Being a Sunday about 6:00pm I was concerned they might be closed. Was able to grab 2 quarts and poured the first one in. Ended up throwing another one in to be safe.

Started her up and the warning lights were gone and didn’t come back on. Will see what happens tomorrow.

Already have an appointment on the 20th for service. Will see what they have to say. I’m probably at about 10k since last oil change.

It said to add a liter…but I wasn’t on level ground so could get an accurate reading. Had I not gotten the red “Stop driving” message I would’ve done just 1 quart (976ml). Since my appt is Monday if it is burning through oil I didn’t want to have any issues this week. I have to drive to Rochester/Buffalo this week for work so hoping I’m good…

Finally got around to installing my Quadlock phone mount. I saw this in another post on the forum. Luck will have it that this base fits the screw holes perfectly. Just had to use two longer bolts than the OEM ones. One of those 3 minute installs that gives great value every single time you get in the car!

This is why we need a dip stick not an electronic guess. It’s the shrodingers cat of a system how do you know how much oil in the engine before it starts?

Have you tried the forum shop. There is 1 design available that fits neatly around the heated seat buttons or where they would be if you don't have them.
