What did you do with your Grenadier today?

No pictures since it's been photo documented many times but...

• BLE monitors wired to both starter and auxiliary batteries
• Hard wired a Victron IP65 to starter battery.
• Installed a CTEK 250SE using GP-Factor's mount in preparation for a Lensun hood solar panel for starters.
• Hard wired 12V outlet to auxiliary battery to run my Dometic CF50

Not quite today but, I put 1ltr of oil in as the screen said low oil level, top up. After checking on a flat surface it confirmed engine required 1tr, and luckily I had purchased a 1ltr bottle from BMW a week or so earlier. I proceed to empty the 1ltr bottle into the engine, now.it says that the oil level is too high, even for offroad!
It always seems to say top up 500ml for offroad driving so for it to say oil level is low it must have been less than that, therefore, how overfilled can it be and is it a problem?
Used to just run old cars until it dropped back down to normal level

I decided to wade in today and plaster the Grenadier floor (front, rear passenger, and cargo compartment) with a 120-mil Dynamat clone.
Taped all the seams with Dynatape.
The effect is profound. At first, I thought my ears were clogged, but wind noise at 85 convinced me otherwise.
Engine growl at take-off: muted.
Tire noise, transfer case whine, some driveline vibration and noise - gone.
Annoying engine drone at 2200 rpm and 80 mph - gone.

Why t.f. it took me 30k miles to do it - incomprehensible. I have done it to many of my vehicles - XJ Cherokee, Aerostar, D1s. Only Classics had some serious soundproofing, and LR4 to some extent.

The total cost - about 85 bucks, and I only used about 18 square feet of the stuff. It is not a quick job - took me about 4-5 hours and two beers, but incredibly rewarding. It could be done quicker if you only lift the floor mats and do the areas they cover, probably at the expense of reduced soundproofing effect. It could be done much better if you remove at least the front seats, but I didn't feel like it. I also didn't do the doors - will do later, someday.

Wired up my compressor that had been installed when I built the platform about 6 months or so.

Did it at the same time as the wiring for the inverter, right side anderson plug, and right side accessory plug for when I install a fridge.
This involved removing some c pillar trim so I had been putting it off.

This is what it looks like with the Indeflate and hoses all packed away in an under seat bag, which fits just nicely once I enlarged the hole in the base of the left side basket

There is plenty of air flow for cooling with the hose bag and platform insert removed

And the setup provides good access to the jack in the factory position.

Added boat deck instead of the Lowe’s mat mod. Seems to grip well. Time will tell if adhesive holds, but a great option.

I used my roof top tent as a crash barrier today in the work underground car park. RTT was effective at letting me know the car park roof was too low and in protecting the vehicle roof.

It was a sad moment. I haven’t done that in 25 years. Thought I’d learnt my lesson when the roof mounted bike flew off its carrier in a London car park in 1999. Clearly not yet . Good thing that vehicle is not damaged. Just my pride and my wallet to get fibreglass RTT repaired and gel-coated.

The entrance to my home garage has a couple of lovebites where I've started to drive in with something still on the roof rack then caught myself just before the real damage occured.
But it's still not Duck Bridge in Wynnum (Brisbane, Qld). At 1.9m (6'3") it'll make your safari roof leak if you ignore the warning barrier.

I finally put my wolfbox 900 pro in today. Thanks to all forum contributors for the insights. I wouldn't have done it myself without that info.
I ran camera cable down drivers side roof line, then down and through big door existing grommet wiring harness. That was the hardest bit, and i had enough length in standard cable. I will test it for a bit before I replace the mount. Just using straps.
Only bit left is to connect to reverse wire.
Very happy.

I am right now at the dealer in Zagreb Croatia . The Ineos here has a VIN number 20974.

The technical manager was called. I told him that I called 3 times on Friday, and nobody called me back. He didn't feel sorry and didn't apologize.
I told him I was traveling and I needed an oil change. He: "for this you need an appointment, and we are fully booked for the next 3 weeks".
I insisted, only oil change, 20 minutes work. He said he had other customers too (he wore a Ford T-shirt).
Then he proposed me to leave the car and perhaps they would find a small slot today or tomorrow. I told him that a perhaps was not useful for me (he used the words "perhaps" and "maybe" several times).
I repeated that they could have told me that on the phone last Friday. I left quite angry

It isn't dramatic to drive even 2000 km more with the oil, car manufacturers have a huge safety margin, and oils are very good. But I don't want to loose my warranty.

I have done 3, and each time I get better and better. AND, knowing I have saved at least $900 in labor, makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Perhaps the dealer would let you use their tools (if you don’t have them) and give you a spot outside to change your oil

I had the dealer install Eibach springs; 1.7” front and 1.2” in rear and installed K03 285/75/17. I tow an Airstream so I needed the nose slightly lower versus the 2.5” level. I think it will work perfectly. The mechanic said it was the easiest to do wheel alignment as tires were not 12” plus wide. This should be an option from factory; similar to Sasquatch on Bronco and Recon on Jeep. BFG is suppose to offer 35x11.5 in the next few months which would be awesome 35” on stock steelies.

I also got the new software update. No more turning off speed warning, setting saves!!!!
