What did you do with your Grenadier today?

What do you do when your lost in a labyrinth in Moroccan desert? You take a view from above ;)

(By the way: avoid hassle, drones are strictly forbidden 🚫 in 🇲🇦)

So @Clark Kent , airbag error?
And 100% SOC. Never had more than 94% meself. Usually struggle to keep it around mid 80s. Even before flattening the starter battery one day.
My starter battery has crept up to 99% while “charging” at 1 amp during very long drives (once, and only once, touched 100%).

I just mentally add 10% to mine and tell myself mine was poorly calibrated ex factory. Even though it probably isn't.

That said, the SOC worries were discussed in a GF thread ad nauseum a while back ; AI summarises the situation thus:
"
  • Intelligent Charging: BMW uses regenerative braking to charge the battery. The alternator increases output (13.7V–14.5V) during braking and may reduce or stop charging while cruising to save fuel, especially if the battery is above 80% SoC.
  • State of Charge (SoC): You can monitor the battery SoC percentage via diagnostic tools like Bimmerlink. A healthy, fully charged battery (engine off) should be above 12.5V, with operating percentages frequently in the 80% range."

today I checked my coolant levels, whilst under there I thought I should check the long pipe that occasionally becomes detached from a useless mount wasn't dangling down again, and I found this! It was one of those jobs I needed to do but hadn't got round to it, someone beat me to it?

Had my 3rd windshield installed and now have 2 service overdue notifications (the new years gift from Ineos and the standard one). Any guesses on when #4 will be needed???

It was not today, but yesterday I noticed for the first time a battery SOC (state of charge) of 100 %, after a long mountain track in Morocco

Today I drove only about 1h20 to Ouarzazate, and tomorrow I will most probably stay here and take a day of rest. I also could replenish my car with some necessary liquids that are difficult to find in Morocco

Wow, look at that battery temperature, no wonder it is 100%. I would also politely suggest that during the current fuel situation you don't do your usual trick of going for a new fill up record 😉
