What did you do with your Grenadier today?

Went on biking with the kids. How many bikes can we fit in there, do you think?

In 1 year and 10,000 kilometers I've gotten the low key fob battery message twice. I figured it was one of the trucks false alarms, and sure enough the message stopped quickly.

Still an annoying false alarm and one that'll no doubt be a boy that cried wolf situation one day, when it does go flat for real. Hopefully software sorts it out before then and the message become trustworthy.

Until that day, I'm running on a system of, "if it doesn't make sense, ignore it". Works for now, but every year that passes will make that riskier.
Always carry a spare battery in glove box and take both keys on a long trip. Learnt that from a previous vehicle

I am travelling since some 10 days, first towards Hungary to visit my youngest son and wife and granddaughter, then slowly to Serbia, Croatia and I am now in Bosnia, second day at the same camping, today doing some cleaning, rearranging my luggage and … repairs.

In Croatia camping in the wild is completely forbidden, even sleeping in the car, but I did it anyway two nights ago, because I got stuck in a too deep old tractor track.

Bottom of car was sitting on the higher part, and no traction of the wheels indeed, I even pumped up all of my tires to 3.5 bar to “lift it up a bit”, to no avail. So, two days ago I had to winch it forward to a place where I had traction, and yesterday morning I filled the track with a lot of pieces of dead wood to go backwards. Why backwards: because I did a walk in the evening to see if I could continue straight, but no way. Night was falling, and I slept in the car.

Rewards: during my walk I saw a wild boar and its youngsters, I had a warm meal with a cold beer, the night was super quiet, and I was not alone: 1 million mosquitoes where wishing me a bloody welcome (but I have repellant).

Yesterday, about one hour after getting “unstuck” and while driving on normal roads my car computer fell out several times. Strange.

The repairs: The rubber flap behind the front left wheel was almost teared off and the front lowest grid under the front bumper was pushed out of its fixings.

I have some other things to tell, but I try to find the right thread
Hello @Jean Mercier, that's how I know you. I haven't heard from you for a long time and I've been thinking about it. All the better to hear about your new adventure now. I always appreciate your posts.

I was with the horses today. The track there is overgrown very quickly due to all the rain and the mild climate. It reminds me of many byways in the UK. I love them. I can switch off with the animals and just enjoy nature. The Grenadier is my faithful companion. I look forward to it every day anew.

I completed the weBoost installation yesterday, fuse-tapping off of the USB charger in the cockpit fuse box. Quite a bit of trim disassembly to hide the cable coming in from the cargo area up to the amplifier under the driver's seat. The antenna was mounted to the top of the small door ladder. Note for those thinking about the weBoost, it ships with a standard 12-v plug - if you want to hardwire it, you need to order the hardwire replacement cable separately from them and also independently purchase a fuse tap (your local auto store will have these).

I also swapped out the standard 12-volt plug that came with my SetPower fridge to a DIN-style plug to match that on my National Luna Fridge. Unfortunately the NL fridge won't fit in the Grenadier the way I wanted it to (aligned with and directly over the passenger side L-track - it's too l long), hence picking up the SetPower unit (DT-45) which is a few inches shorter and -just- fits. We'll see how it works this summer.

Next up is completing the HAM radio installation, something I've been procrastinating finishing for some time now. Will have the control unit on a ball mount at the center console, radio itself is on the GP factor c-tek mount under the rear passenger seat. Had to re-do the antenna plan, but basically up the driver's side b-pillar out the power port to the forward grab bar onto a folding mount. Hopefully complete over the weekend.
Hello?
I purchased a GP Factor tail gate table.
I would like to ask about the wiring method and what color wires to use when the factory cover is removed.
I don't know much about electrical wiring, so if you have time,
please explain in detail.
I apologize for your busy work.
And thank you.

I used new wires for the tailgate table light - I didn’t tap existing wires. I ran the wires through the rubber conduit, but made a small cut in the bottom of the end where it is tightly clamped instead of opening the entire end. I ran that behind the cargo area trim on the passenger (right) side, and then around the rear seat and into the battery compartment.

Good call on running an independent circuit for the light. I try to avoid wire taps when possible.

Inside scoop tip..... MY24.1 ADAS update is coming soon :P
CORP-
Working on a scan device for customers to purchase, will do all resets, clear of maintenance annoyance/rest of maintenance, trying for TPMS (still uncertain), diagnostic codes, and details of diag. All specific to IG.
Working on release of HU updates, and non intrusive (BCM, CM, HVAC, etc), on USB or shared site for owners to download.
The online workshop manual is WAY more robust and capable than we even have seen.
Overall, great people who are listening to the community’s needs and wants…. Realistic needs and wants, that is

Yep all that is correct

Special day today, about 60 km off road in the bosnian forest, had to turn around 3 times, first time road damage and too risky to try to continue, I didn't want to loose my car. Second time a navigation error, and had to go back, third time a track that clearly was not used, but still in good condition, but ... a sign for landmines, therefore I went back too.

I had a punishment: part of a wheel guard was broken by a branch, or how do you call the black semicírculo above the wheel,
and two rewards:
I saw a bear, and when I arrived at the camping, there was a magic mushroom German Grenadier ... a forum member!

Later more, I desisted in loading pictures, internet is too slow.
